I just shipped something I've wanted to build for years - The GTM Handbook! A free, open-source knowledge repository of marketing frameworks, mental models & tech stack for B2B SaaS marketers. 🔗 Link - www.gtmhandbook.club Started with 346 entries across SEO, PMM, Demand Gen, and PLG. I built it to: 📒 create an open repository of marketing gyaan all in 1 place for any marketer/founder to refer (no more saving blogs, videos or half-read books) 🧠 make it easy to import a "GTM Brain" into your Claude AI assistants/agents for SEO, PMM, PLG etc 🤖 1-click import of individual frameworks as skills or prompts in Claude/ChatGPT 12 years of GTM experience. Putting it all on 1 website. Free forever. What more would you have me add here next?👇
May 2026Only 3 things genuinely matter at a startup → $ revenue, $ pipeline, $ profit. Everything else is overhead. Overhead is fine when you're growing crazy with uncapped budgets. The moment the market shifts or a quarter goes sideways - overhead is the first line item to be questioned. If you can't tie your output to one of those three $ KPIs, you're 1-2 bad quarters away from a difficult conversation. Even roles that “support revenue” or “own deliverables” should find their path to a $ KPI sooner or later, especially with AI blurring the skill gap. Content Marketer → move beyond # published or traffic. Start owning content-driven pipeline or better start building content-based micro tools to drive PLG. Product Manager → it’s no longer about roadmap or features shipped. You can co-own expansion revenue or customer retention or new logo win rates. RevOps / Analytics → MIS and dashboards are commoditised. Either improve the funnel conversion % or help reduce $ losses. Customer Success → upsells and renewals are great. But you can also help drive new product portfolio, actively seek referrals and sell premium services. IT / Engineering → help cut infra costs or ship features that close the $200k deal. At the minimum keep asking “what can I do to improve the business?” Founder's Office → you sit in every room that matters. Map every initiative across org to its impact on pipeline created, revenue sourced or cost optimizations. Own big strategic partnerships with a clear $ outcome. HR / People Ops → org design in fast growing startups is never 100% done. You can unlock massive $ value (beyond hiring & culture) by optimising team structures, reporting, ownership & cross-functional friction. And own the AI charter for your org. Irrespective of what you do, the question remains: Does your work bring deals in, close them faster, or improve the unit economics? Take ownership, don’t wait for it to be assigned.
