You want to work in sports, so you apply to 50 jobs and get no replies, no interviews, nothing. Then you start thinking: “Maybe I’m not good enough.” “Maybe I don’t have enough experience.” Trust me, that’s probably not the reason, most people apply to sports jobs the exact same way. Same generic resume. Same copy-paste application. Same “hope they see it” strategy. Meanwhile, teams and brands are getting hundreds of applications for one role. If your application looks like everyone else’s, you’ll get treated like everyone else’s. Instead of only applying, do this: • Tailor your resume for THAT specific role • Show actual work, content, projects, ideas, anything • Reach out to the hiring manager on LinkedIn • Build connections before asking for opportunities And honestly, working in sports is hard, a lot of people want these jobs. Sometimes experience matters. Sometimes networking matters more. Sometimes your content, side projects, internships, or volunteer work are what make you stand out. You need to make people feel like you already belong in the industry before they give you the opportunity. Need help? send me a message or join my community: https://lnkd.in/eykWXeNe #LinkedInSports
May 2026Hey mom, I made a cameo on Netflix . Some days ago, the Ronaldinho documentary dropped, and somehow I ended up in episode one. It still sounds crazy to say. Last year, Ronaldinho came to Inter Miami for The Beautiful Game. I was there capturing behind the scenes, doing what I always do. What’s even crazier is how it all started. Everything goes back to an Instagram page I created 10 years ago. That page grew to 200,000 followers and became one of the biggest football pages in Venezuela. That page opened every door: MARCA. OneFootball. Juventus. Inter Miami. It doesn’t feel real sometimes. From running a fan page to randomly appearing in a Ronaldinho documentary on Netflix, and working with some of the biggest sports clubs in the world. If you needed a reminder, this is yours. Start. Stay consistent. See where it takes you. #LinkedinSports If you want to break into the sports industry and don’t know where to start, join my Skool community: https://lnkd.in/eFffykXe
