Capacity determines scale. Always. You can't scale a business beyond the capacity of its leadership. You can't scale a team beyond the capacity of its culture. You can't scale results beyond the capacity of your systems. Week 2 checkpoint: Are you building the capacity to sustain the scale you're asking for? Or are you scaling demand without scaling what's required to deliver? Honest question. Honest answer needed. What capacity have you built this week? The second half of this quarter has been quite interesting; from speaking at Covenant University on digital infrastructure and sustainable development, to engaging with business leaders and entrepreneurs at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry AI Summit on practical AI adoption for businesses. It was a pleasure to participate as both a speaker and panel contributor at this timely event themed: “Adopting AI for Your Business: Nigerian Realities and Case Studies.” The conversations throughout the session reinforced an important reality, the real value of AI is not in the hype, but in practical application within our unique Nigerian and African business environment. During the panel discussions, we explored: • How businesses can start small but intentionally with AI adoption • The importance of identifying clear business problems AI should solve • Why governance, accountability, and trust must remain central • The growing need for digital capacity and prompt engineering skills • How AI can improve productivity, efficiency, and decision-making across industries One statement that stood out for me during the conversations was: “AI, like electricity, can both electrify and electrocute.” As business leaders, our responsibility is to ensure we adopt these technologies responsibly, strategically, and with long-term value in mind. It was a pleasure contributing as a speaker and panel participant alongside brilliant minds like Dr. Chinyere Almona , Dotun Adeoye , Adeyinka Aderombi , Dr Krishnan Ranganath (Krish) , our able moderator Roseline ILORI M.CIoD CDPO , Maxwell Addo , MIEE , and many others driving innovation across the ecosystem. Appreciation to the leadership of LCCI, AI in Nigeria, the ICT Group Team, Young Business Leaders Group, and every participant who contributed to such an insightful and engaging session. The conversations around AI, business growth, governance, and digital transformation were insightful, practical, and timely. #SegunOkuneye #AI #DigitalTransformation #Leadership #Innovation #LCCI #Nigeria #Africa

"Pressure is a Privilege" - Billie Jean King Pressure doesn't break leaders. It reveals them. It reveals what you're made of. It reveals what you've built. It reveals the gaps you've been avoiding. Most people run from pressure. High-growth leaders run toward it — because they know pressure is data. It tells you exactly where your capacity needs to expand. Don't resent the pressure. Mine it for information. Where is pressure showing up in your leadership right now? What is it revealing? Drop it below. 👇 #Growth #Expansion #Leadership #IntentionalLiving #May2026 #Talk2LA ² #LinkedInDaily
