May 2026🚨 Wise is moving its primary listing from London to New York. Wise processed over $240bn in cross-border payments last year and grew volumes by more than 30%. This is one of the standout fintech success stories to come out of the UK ecosystem over the past decade. Which is why this move feels significant. Because it highlights something the industry’s been talking about more and more lately, where fintech companies believe the best environment is for their next stage of growth once they reach global scale. Access to capital. Liquidity. Analyst coverage. Valuation expectations. Those things matter. And while London continues to be one of the most important fintech hubs in the world, moves like this show how competitive the global landscape has become when companies hit that next level. Feels like the conversation is shifting from: “How do we build great fintech companies?” to: “How do we keep them scaling here long term?” 🔗 Story: Wise Nasdaq move coverage - https://lnkd.in/ehYTz8hw #FinTech #Wise #Banking #Finance #UKTech #DigitalBanking
May 2026Today we officially open registration for Microelectronics UK 2026. Year two. Didn't think I'd be this excited about a second edition but here we are. Last year's show proved something - there's real appetite for a dedicated space where the UK semiconductor, photonics, and embedded systems communities can get in a room together. The conversations that came out of it were exactly what we hoped for when we started building it. So we're going again. Bigger programme, more depth, same idea at the core. Still backed by Department for Science, Innovation and Technology and Department for Business and Trade . 29-30 September, Excel London. Three co-located conferences - semiconductors, photonics, embedded systems - covering chip design, silicon photonics, embedded AI, compound semiconductors, advanced packaging, space, defence, automotive. Plus the Startup Launchpad, the first UK Impact List Awards, and the brand new Discovery Stage for inspiring demos and workshops. Full programme dropping soon. If you work or study in the industry, your ticket is free. Link in the comments. And if you want the full experience - VIP pass, dedicated networking, more access - message me directly and I'll send you a code. Here's to year two. 📸 Excuse the random photo, a throwback to dinner at Terry Black's with some of the wonderful team behind Microelectronics US last month. Now onto the next one. #MicroelectronicsUK Microelectronics Global

May 2026Here’s something I never thought I’d say: I quit a job I loved. 18 months ago, I packed a bag, booked a one-way ticket, and left everything familiar behind to solo travel across Asia before living and working in Australia on a Working Holiday Visa. As a classic Type A event planner, I left with colour-coded itineraries, a spreadsheet for every scenario, and a three-year plan. Then life changed the plan. What was meant to be three years became 18 months — because somewhere along the way I realised how much I love being in the game. Not just the job, but the drive. The momentum. The feeling of building something that actually moves your career forward. Here’s what 18 months gave me beyond the passport stamps. 🧠 Real resilience. No safety net. No familiar routine. When things went wrong — and they did — I learned to adapt fast and stay composed under pressure. I stopped panicking and started figuring it out. That will always stick with me. 🤝 People became my greatest strength. From hostel common rooms to professional event sites to strangers becoming lifelong friends — I learned that people open up faster than you think, if you actually listen. 💡 Confidence you can’t learn in a comfort zone. The person who boarded that first flight is not the same person writing this. I came back more self-aware, more adaptable, and far more certain of what I’m capable of. If anything, stepping away gave me more clarity than staying ever could. I’m now looking for my next role in events or sales. A fast-paced, people-first environment where ambition, relationships, and results genuinely matter. If you're hiring someone who'll bring genuine energy to your team — let's have a chat! #OpenToWork #NewChapter #EventsIndustry #Sales #Resilience #Growth

Apr 2026Tim Cook stepping down as Apple CEO and handing over to John Ternus says a lot about what Apple still values. Ternus is not a celebrity operator. He is a product builder. A long-time Apple insider. An engineer. Someone who has been close to the hardware story for years. And that is what made me think of Steve Jobs. Because beneath all the innovation, all the launches, all the theatre, Apple was built on a few marketing principles Jobs understood better than most: Start with the customer experience, then work backwards to the product. Make complexity feel simple. Say less, but make it clearer. Turn features into meaning. And build a brand people want to belong to, not just buy from. That is what so many brands still miss. They think great marketing is about doing more. More channels. More copy. More content. More noise. Jobs understood that great marketing is often the opposite. Sharper positioning. Clearer framing. Stronger meaning. Better taste. Leadership changes. Principles stay. And Apple’s real competitive advantage was never just technology. It was knowing how to make people care. #EKNMarketing #Apple #TimCook #Ternus
Apr 2026Thrilled to share that I’ve completed the Certificate Program in Agentic AI from Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering! Over the past 16 rigorous weeks, I designed and deployed agentic systems across the stack, including LLMs, advanced prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, multi-agent orchestration, and reinforcement learning for decision-making agents. The program focused on production-grade thinking, covering how to design, evaluate, and scale real-world AI systems. Agentic AI is rapidly emerging as a foundational paradigm shift, and I’m excited to be building at that frontier. https://lnkd.in/gA8pu_aW
Apr 2026Love this 👏 I was fortunate to see Andy Bounds ’ keynote at the National Sales Conference 2025, and one point really stuck with me: #AFTERS It’s had a huge impact on how I approach conversations day-to-day, especially in sales. Funny how “afters” were just as important at uni as they are in my job now… just with slightly different meanings 😅 Curious - what’s one concept that’s stuck with you and genuinely changed how you work?
