Jun 2026🥰😍🥰 HEARTFELT BUSINESS MODEL Gordon Hartman, a father from Texas, turned a deeply personal moment into a life-changing mission. In 2005, he sold his successful homebuilding business after witnessing his daughter Morgan—who has physical and cognitive disabilities—being unintentionally excluded by other children at a hotel pool. That experience inspired him to create a place where people of all abilities could play side by side. His vision became Morgan’s Wonderland, a $34 million amusement park that opened in 2010 as the world’s first ultra-accessible theme park. It features more than 25 inclusive attractions, from a wheelchair-accessible Ferris wheel and carousel to a train ride, playgrounds, and a 4D theater, all designed so everyone can participate. Hartman continued to expand this inclusive vision in 2017 with Morgan’s Inspiration Island, a splash park built with accessibility at its core. The park includes waterproof wheelchairs and temperature-controlled water areas to accommodate guests with various physical needs. One of the most impactful aspects of both parks is that individuals with special needs receive free admission, ensuring that financial barriers never stand in the way of inclusion. Beyond the parks, Hartman has also developed a sports complex and an accessible campground, further extending opportunities for recreation and community. Despite operating at a financial loss each year, the parks continue to thrive through the support of Hartman’s foundation and generous donors. Since opening, Morgan’s Wonderland has welcomed millions of visitors from around the world and provides employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities, reinforcing its mission of inclusion at every level. This story is a powerful example of how love, empathy, and determination can create something truly transformative. Hartman’s efforts go far beyond building attractions—they’ve created a space where dignity, joy, and belonging are at the center of every experience. His work shows that when barriers are removed, communities become stronger, more compassionate, and more connected, proving that inclusion isn’t just an idea—it’s something that can be built and shared with the world. https://lnkd.in/exF4U98x
May 2026It was 1998 when I left Italy. Since then, I’ve mostly returned for business, only rarely for pleasure. But no matter how many years pass, in one way or another, it will always feel like home. This week, between Milano and Torino, was as usual productive and inspiring. Our JAS journey began in Milano back in 1978. Every time I step into our Segrate building, you can feel it, the history, the pride, the legacy of what has been built over nearly 50 years. It’s more than an office, it’s a testament to the passion and commitment of generations of people who shaped what JAS is today. JAS Italy has been thriving for decades, and I have no doubt it will continue to lead the market with the same energy and determination. It’s been an incredible week, filled with inspiring colleagues, strong alignment, and the invaluable support of the many customers we had the pleasure to visit together. Moments like these remind me that our roots and our people are what truly define us. #JASWorldwide #JASItaly #Leadership #Proud #Logistics #SupplyChain #Teamwork #GlobalBusiness #Milano #Torino
May 2026😍🥰 THE ART OF ELEGANCE During one of Pope Francis’s public audiences, a young girl with Down syndrome quietly stepped away from her seat and made her way toward the stage. As security personnel moved to stop her, the Pope gently motioned for them to stand back. Smiling warmly, he welcomed the little girl beside him, held her hand, and calmly continued speaking. The touching, unscripted moment quickly resonated with people around the world as a beautiful example of compassion and inclusion. https://lnkd.in/eQYEssma
May 2026🥰😍 SHE NEVER GAVE UP AND ENDED WITH THE NOBEL PRIZE Gertrude "Trudy" Belle Elion was an American biochemist and pharmacologist, who shared the 1988 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine with George H. Hitchings and Sir James Black for their use of innovative methods of rational drug design for the development of new drugs.[2] This new method focused on understanding the target of the drug rather than simply using trial-and-error. Her work led to the creation of the anti-retroviral drug AZT, which was the first drug widely used against AIDS. Her well known works also include the development of the first immunosuppressive drug, azathioprine, used to fight rejection in organ transplants, and the first successful antiviral drug, acyclovir (ACV), used in the treatment of herpes infection https://lnkd.in/ey4Y2sGW
May 2026🥰😍 INNOVATIONS IN SOLAR AND WATER RETENTION Floating solar panels ("floatovoltaics") are being tested and deployed on water bodies related to the Colorado River system to generate renewable energy while reducing evaporation. Projects, such as those by the Gila River Indian Community, aim to combat water scarcity by shading water surfaces, potentially saving substantial water while producing electricity. https://lnkd.in/eZ8bAcuy

May 2026🥰😍COCONUT SOLUTION TO DEFORESTATION Turning something discarded into something useful reflects a powerful shift in how we relate to resources. Using waste coconut shells to create shipping pallets shows how materials that might otherwise be thrown away can be given new purpose. By reducing reliance on wood, ideas like this can help ease pressure on forests while still meeting the needs of industries that depend on strong, durable materials. In many traditions, there is an understanding that nothing from the land should be wasted. Every resource carries value, and using it fully is a way of showing respect. Repurposing materials follows that same principle—finding ways to extend their life instead of constantly taking more. When industries adopt approaches like this, it can reduce the strain placed on ecosystems and encourage more balanced use of what the earth provides. This kind of thinking also connects to everyday choices. Reusing items, choosing products made from recycled or alternative materials, and being mindful of consumption are small steps that add up over time. Take a moment to consider what can be used again or chosen differently, and how those decisions can help protect forests and reduce waste for the future. https://lnkd.in/egarQ2Pb
