Apr 2026Capturing value from #AI requires more than deploying new technology, it needs to be approached as a holistic transformation. In this final video, Manoj Sridhar and I discuss why leadership alignment is critical, how organisations should think about AI as a portfolio of investments with varying risk and maturity, and why building capability across people, processes and technology is key to unlocking sustained impact. Apr 2026Great to be in Vegas last week for the Med Spa Show 2026! A few themes that consistently came up: • Growth ≠ performance for all: Location growth remains strong across the industry (double-digits), and demand is also growing robustly. However, location growth is outpacing demand, creating pressure on same-store sales and widening the gap between winners and losers in an increasingly competitive market. • Provider talent remains a key differentiator: Attracting and retaining top providers remains a key focus area. In injectables especially, providers often carry strong client relationships, so turnover can create meaningful revenue risk. There’s also a real “soft skill” element: some providers excel at client engagement and conversion, while others don’t - making recruiting and selection both critical and costly to get wrong. Leading platforms are investing more intentionally in retention, engagement, and brand support to mitigate this. • New demand pockets expanding: Women’s health (e.g., peri-/post-menopause), alongside broader hormone optimization (HRT), peptides, and “longevity” offerings are gaining traction. Many platforms are leaning into these areas with greater clinical credibility and seeing strong cross-sell with aesthetics. • GLP-1: impact evolving but mostly positive: Debate continues. Weight loss could reduce perceived need for some treatments, but early signs suggest incremental demand in areas like skin laxity, facial volume loss, and body contouring. • AI / tech-enabled personalization (early days): Increasing discussion around AI, though still early in adoption. Emerging use cases include AI-driven skin analysis, personalized treatment planning, virtual consults, and targeted marketing - helping tailor care and improve conversion, but typically augmenting (not replacing) provider judgment. Overall: demand remains strong, but the bar to win continues to rise. Please reach out to continue the discussion or to learn more about how L.E.K. can help brands and investors in this space! L.E.K.
