I’ve always believed technology leaders cannot just talk about the future. We have to build it. Recently, I used Claude Code to build an Enterprise Architecture app that helps make sense of a complex technology estate - connecting applications, capabilities, integrations, ownership, data flows and dependencies into one clearer view. The stack is simple and modern: Angular on the front end, Python on the back end, and PostgreSQL as the data foundation. But the bigger story is not the stack. The bigger story is what is now possible. With AI-native engineering tools, the distance between idea and execution has collapsed. What once needed large teams, long lead times and heavy investment can now be prototyped, tested and shaped at a pace that fundamentally changes how technology leaders should think. This is not about replacing engineers. It is about raising the fluency of leaders. For CIOs, architects, product leaders and technologists, the next advantage will come from being close enough to the tools to understand what they can really do. Not at a conference level. Not at a strategy-slide level. At a build level. Because once you build with these tools, your sense of what is possible changes. You ask sharper questions. You move faster. You challenge old assumptions. You stop treating AI as a side experiment and start seeing it as a new execution layer. My Hope with this post - To encourage everyone in technology leadership to: Pick up the tools. Build something real - go the extra distance and make it enterprise grade. Learn by doing. Get uncomfortable. Get current. The future of technology leadership will belong to those who can combine strategic judgment with hands-on AI fluency. The era of watching from the sidelines is over. And if you want fun along the way, get Codex to review your Claude code work. Better still add that as a threat to Claude in the .MD file ! #TechnologyLeadership #CIO #AIFluency #EnterpriseArchitecture #BuildWithAI #DigitalTransformation #EmergingTechnology
May 2026𝗜 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀. 𝗜 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁. Most data leaders are measured on dashboards shipped, models deployed, and pipelines green. I used to measure myself that way, too. The data leaders I admire most don't talk about output. They talk about trust. — Trust that the number on the CEO's slide is right. — Trust that the right people see the right data. — Trust that "we tried it" actually means we measured it. Trust is slow to build. Instant to break. And the only real edge a data function has. If your team is buried in tickets but the leadership team doesn't trust the headline KPI, you don't have a tooling problem. You have a trust problem. What are you building this quarter — output, or trust?
May 2026Power BI April update is now out! The (new) card visual has a cool update that allows you to click on the actual card and filter the rest of the report by that category. The category not selected in the card will become become dim. This is very similar to the filtering behaviour of other visuals. Nice to see the standard visuals getting some love in the recent monthly updates, go team Zoe Douglas & Elena Drakulevska https://lnkd.in/g6qKjrjE
Apr 2026I know I am biased, but these are a really great drink. While I like a complex multi-layered drink, sometimes I want something simple - and this is what these are. Congrats to the team that brought these to market.
