🌍 April reminds us to celebrate progress and reflect on inclusion 🌍 As we recognize minority groups this month, it’s important to acknowledge both how far we’ve come and how far we still have to go in creating inclusive financial and wealth-building opportunities. When we talk about inclusion for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), it’s easy to assume that some parts of the world have already “figured it out.” The reality is more nuanced. Regions like the European Union have made significant strides in embedding accessibility into everyday systems—from transport and workplaces to financial services. Countries like Sweden and Canada continue to lead with a strong focus on independence, dignity, and universal design. Closer home, Kenya has also made commendable progress, with organizations like the Kenya Bankers Association championing more inclusive financial systems. 👏 That progress is worth recognizing. Yet, a familiar gap remains: the distance between policy and lived experience. Because true inclusion is not just about frameworks—it’s about everyday access: ✨ Can a visually impaired client independently navigate our digital investment platforms? ✨ Can a deaf customer access financial advice without barriers? ✨ Are our systems designed with inclusion in mind—or adapted as an afterthought? No country has perfected this. Which means inclusion is not a destination others have reached, it is a shared responsibility we are all still building toward. ✨ And perhaps that’s the opportunity: to not just catch up—but to design better, more inclusive financial systems from the ground up. #FinancialInclusion #PWDInclusion #Accessibility #InclusiveFinance #CelebrateDiversity #Kenya #WealthForAll
