During my visit to Egypt last week, I had the opportunity to connect with stakeholders across Cairo and the New Administrative Capital to explore how these efforts are supporting solutions that can grow, adapt, and deliver in real-world conditions. It was a pleasure to engage with the Essam and May Allam Foundation , Egypt’s Ministry of Education and Technical Education, Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Sawiris Foundation for Social Development , Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, Ministry of Local Development and Environment, the UAE Embassy in Egypt, Infinity Power , the Egyptian House of Representatives, and RAMSCO Egypt and OASIS Technologies Monaco. These exchanges play an important role in ensuring the Zayed Sustainability Prize, Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company) , WiSER and Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week - ADSW remain closely connected to where innovation is taking shape remain closely connected to where innovation is taking shape. My visit to Norway and the Netherlands reinforced the importance of sustained engagement with the ecosystems shaping the future of energy, water, and global resilience. Across Oslo, The Hague, Rotterdam, and Delft, I connected with government entities, research institutions, and business accelerators to expand engagement with organisations developing practical solutions. Discussions focused on systems that are built to last across energy, water, and climate, and the importance of collaboration in enabling solutions to scale effectively across markets. It was a pleasure to engage with the Norwegian Ministry of Energy and the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate, Innovation Norway , Katapult, the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise ( NHO ), and the Norwegian Forum for Development and Environment ( Forum for utvikling og miljø ), Netherlands’ Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management ( Ministerie van Infrastructuur en Waterstaat ), the Netherlands Enterprise Agency and Horizon Europe , IHE Delft Institute for Water Education , ImpactCity , SNV Netherlands Development Organisation , and Nuffic . These exchanges play an important role in ensuring the Zayed Sustainability Prize, Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company) , and Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week - ADSW remain closely connected to where innovation is happening—supporting the identification, advancement, and scaling of solutions that strengthen systems and deliver reliably in real-world conditions.
