Excited to head to Esri Energy and spend time with customers, partners, and operators across the energy space. It’s one of the few events where so many GIS and operational teams are all in the same place talking through real-world monitoring, infrastructure, and integration challenges. Stop by booth 303 if you’re attending. And if you’re around Monday evening, join us for Vantor On Tap at The Grove from 6:30–9:30 p.m. Looking forward to catching up with people outside the busy conference schedule. Registration link is in the comments! #EsriEnergy #EnergyInfrastructure #GIS #ArcGIS #OperationalMonitoring #PipelineOperations #UtilityOperations #LNG #IndustrialOperations #DigitalTransformation #EnergyIndustry #CriticalInfrastructure #Vantor #EsriPartner #OperationalVisibility
May 2026Excited to attend Tectonic and Payload ’s "Inside the Dome" event tomorrow. Golden Dome is an ambitious national security effort, and the scope of the mission demands serious thinking about how government and industry can bring the right capabilities together. I’m especially looking forward to hearing Gen. Michael Guetlein’s perspective on the path ahead. I’ll also be joining Chris Kemp , Dan Piemont , and David Simenc for a conversation on missile defense, moderated by Barratt Dewey . At Vantor , we’re focused on the full timeline: what you can understand before launch, what happens at launch, and how you keep track after launch. Spatial intelligence can help spot early signals around a launch site. Once something is in the air, the clock speeds up fast, and staying with it through sensor gaps becomes the hard part. Looking forward to the discussion.
May 2026Had a great time last week in Colorado attending the GEOINT Symposium with some of my Vantor colleagues and our partners across the intelligence community. After reflecting on last week, one message I keep coming back to is the role of AI in our work. I heard this consistently from senior leaders, including the NGA Director during her keynote address: AI is not the mission itself, but rather an enabler that helps advance our collective goals and objectives. When applied thoughtfully, AI can serve as a true force multiplier - streamlining analytical functions, surfacing insights more quickly, empowering users in new ways, and helping organizations meet requirements at mission speed. That’s exactly how we’re thinking about AI at Vantor: not as the end goal, but as a capability we are continuing to learn how to apply in ways that modernize and accelerate workflows to better support mission users. GEOINT was a reminder of the importance of our work and how AI can further evolve intelligence operations. Thanks to United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) for hosting a great event.
May 2026I spent some time in Korea this past week learning about sovereign space developments. Thank you to the #Hanwha space team for hosting us. The #Jeju space facility is impressive and I look forward to seeing its evolution. Until next time, thank you #SouthKorea , #Jeju , #Hanwha and #흙돼지 !
Apr 2026AiDASH’s Evolve 2026 will be in sunny Palm Springs this week. We will be discussing how to secure the utility grid against wildfire and other climate driven risks - a scenario all too familiar to a Colorado Front Ranger. I will be speaking about how to leverage Vantor 's spatial intelligence through AiDASH 's platform to monitor network risk at scale, understand vegetation and building change over time , and prioritize action to strengthen grid resilience before it becomes a disruption. Want to discuss how spatial intelligence can help utilities anticipate risk earlier and act with more confidence?
Apr 2026Congratulations to my wife, Suzi Tonini , on this well-deserved recognition from the Colorado State Library for her tireless commitment to public service. Thank you for the incredible work you do to support students and strengthen school libraries. This is so well deserved!
Apr 2026This week at #SpaceSymposium , I joined a discussion on countering missile threats “left of launch”—addressing risks before they ever reach the point of launch. What stood out is how much this depends on integration. Not just better sensors, but connecting systems and decisions fast enough to matter. Appreciate the thoughtful discussion from my fellow panelists and moderator. Always a good sign when it stays grounded in reality. Also—answering questions live, without AI in your ear, is still part of the job. Keeps things honest. https://lnkd.in/gViA6ZZG
Apr 2026Looking forward to attending AiDASH ’s Evolve 2026 in Palm Springs next week. Excited to meet with leaders from across the utility ecosystem to talk about what it takes to move to a more prevention-first approach. Josh Winer from Vantor will be speaking about how high-resolution satellite imagery and spatial intelligence—delivered in collaboration with AiDASH —are helping utilities identify risk at network scale, understand change over time, and prioritize action to strengthen grid resilience before it becomes disruption. Want to discuss how spatial intelligence can help utilities anticipate risk earlier and act with more confidence? Let’s connect.
Apr 2026I had the privilege of participating in FIDAE 2026 in Chile, an incredible event where we had the opportunity to listen to the needs of each country in Latin America and present how ICEYE Solutions has helped governments in dealing with natural disasters, deforestation, and illegal mining in the region.
