Never thought I’d say this again but I’ve graduated!…👩🏻🎓 Over the last year I’ve been direct line managing within our team and completing the Learning to Lead program at Metro Bank (UK) . This program is extremely insightful and well run - I was lucky enough to have Katie Bridgett lead our cohort, educating us about our leadership framework, leadership theories, communication style and more. Being a people leader that inspires, nurtures and grows talent is extremely important to me. I also wanted to thank my manager Briar Reidy for the continued support throughout the program and for being an inspirational leader.

Delighted to showcase that Metro Bank (UK) and my team continues to support the hospitality sector. Hospitality businesses are not only important to UK PLC from an economic perspective, but also from a wellbeing and social standpoint. The sector doesn’t just contribute significantly to employment, tourism, and national income, but we often forget that they also provide spaces where people can relax, socialise, and build community connections. Great to be back out with the West Cheshire & North Wales Chamber of Commerce this morning at Blakemere Craft Centre, Northwich for networking and breakfast. This really was the perfect setting, clear blue skies, rolling Cheshire countryside, and birds of prey!! I admit, I was a little nervous of the white tail sea eagle who greeted guests as we arrived! Best security guard I’ve seen! A fabulous location, a great day out for the family, corporate events, and weddings. Great to meet so many new members and always a pleasure catching up with those familiar faces. As always, a big thank you to Carol Dolan and the West Cheshire & North Wales Chamber of Commerce team for hosting another lovely event. Taking on Pen y Fan for Tŷ Hafan ⛰️ On the 26th of April, a group of us from Metro Bank (UK) Cardiff, will be climbing Pen y Fan to raise money for Tŷ Hafan. Tŷ Hafan supports children with life-limiting conditions and their families across Wales, providing vital care, respite, and support when it’s needed most. The work they do has a real impact, and it relies heavily on donations. This is a challenge for us, but it’s nothing compared to what these families face every day — that’s why we’re doing it. Today I had a the pleasure of a coffee with Angela Arnold talking about everything from her work at Knights and expertise in areas such as listed buildings, her role as President of Sussex Law Society including the upcoming Annual Ball (which I am very much looking forward too) and new mentorship programme, right through to my role as Local Director at Metro Bank (UK) and the journey that shaped me and brought me back to my “home patch” doing what I love.
