Speaking at Camp Hustle was one of the highlights of my week! I shared strategies on how to use agents, tips for building skills, and how to manage MCPs. Here's the tips we covered: Skills are primarily a way to teach an agent the standard operating procedures of your company. Each company operates differently; for example, you have a different definition of an ICP or a qualified lead. Skills help you capture your unique way of operating, you almost always want to customize them. ๐ก Tip: If you're trying to improve a skill, don't try to write down the implicit knowledge in your mind. Instead, show Claude what you would have done instead, and get it to update the Skill. Claude is better at distilling the differences from examples. Link to guides for more tips below. MCPs is the way for agents connect to your company data. The protocol is flexible and has many options for runtime (local vs remote) and authentication (oauth vs tokens). For the enterprise, you need to be able to govern and manage all your MCPs; you would want all of them to be remote and OAuth + SSO. Running local servers today can be risky as it pulls down the entire supply chain onto your computer. ๐ก Tip: Use MCP as a layer to bundle together tools needed for an agent to do a task. This way you can reduce the "lethal trifecta" risk by limiting what actions the agent can take - for example, only giving it draft permissions rather than sending permissions on email.
