I’m honored to be included on the Forbes 250 Greatest Living Self-Made Americans list. A recognition like this is deeply humbling because no success is ever achieved alone. I’ve been incredibly fortunate throughout my life to learn from great teachers, mentors and friends, and to have the unwavering support of family who believed in me every step of the way. Any success I’ve had is shared with all of them. It also belongs to the remarkable leaders and staff across Monumental Sports & Entertainment and Revolution whose passion, creativity and commitment drive everything we do. Their work not only powers our collective success, but also creates meaningful impact across the DC community that we are proud to serve. I’m especially thankful to share this recognition alongside extraordinary group, including two of my partners at Monumental, Sheila Johnson and Earl Stafford, people who have built lasting businesses, expanded opportunity for others and strengthened communities through leadership, philanthropy and service. Congratulations to all those recognized, and thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey. https://lnkd.in/emnwsCc6
May 2026Yesterday, I had the pleasure of graduating from Georgetown University with a Masters in Professional Studies majoring in Sports Industry Management. During my time as a student in this program the last two years, I have connected with many professionals and classmates in the sports industry while also expanding upon my skills so that I am able to help any organization that I work for. During my time in the nation’s capital, I had the opportunity to work for many incredible organizations like D.C. United , DC Power Football Club , the Atlantic 10 Conference , and Monumental Sports & Entertainment . These roles helped me gain incredible experience while working alongside some of the best professionals in the sports industry today. Lastly, I would like to personally thank all of my professors, classmates, and coworkers for helping me grow as a professional. Even though my time in D.C. is coming to a close, I’ll always remember all of the lessons and advice that I have received from my time in the area. #HoyaSaxa

May 2026There’s real value in convening as an organization – it sharpens alignment and reinforces what we can accomplish together. Our All-Staff meeting gave us an opportunity to step back, take stock of our progress, and reconnect around the collective effort required to deliver for our fans and the D.C. community. It was also a chance to recognize the people driving that momentum forward every day. The work we do is interconnected. Success in our venues and in the community depends on how well we connect those efforts – sharing ideas, challenging each other, and operating with transparency to drive better outcomes. I’m thankful for our best-in-class team at Monumental Sports & Entertainment that continues to show up and build toward something greater together.
Apr 2026Conversations about the future of federal real estate and procurement shape DC’s broader economic ecosystem – supporting industries like sports, entertainment and the gathering places that bring people together, like Capital One Arena. It was great to join fellow regional business leaders and my friend Ed Forst of the GSA to discuss how we continue to position DC as a leading global region. At Monumental Sports & Entertainment , we see every day how infrastructure, policy and private investment intersect. When done right, they create vibrant destinations that drive foot traffic, support local businesses and strengthen the fabric of our city. Thank you Kathy Etemad Hollinger and the Greater Washington Partnership for organizing!
Apr 2026Today, I’m proud to share something we’ve been building at Monumental Sports & Entertainment — and something deeply personal to me as a former high school athlete. We’re launching EquipHER, a new campaign with the Washington Mystics to help keep D.C. girls in sports. We’re starting with something simple, but essential: delivering 13,050 Mystics-branded sports bras to every female student-athlete across 39 D.C. public schools. The data tells part of the story: 70% of D.C. boys play sports, compared with just 53% of girls. Behind that gap are real moments — a girl skipping practice because she doesn’t have what she needs to feel comfortable competing. And those moments matter. Girls who play sports become women who lead. I see it every day in the extraordinary women I work alongside at Monumental. So many of them will tell you that sports taught them the skills that matter most in business: how to lead, how to support a teammate through a tough moment, and how to work hard in your role so the entire team succeeds. On April 21, we kick off at Charles Hart Middle School in Ward 8 with the extraordinary Elena Delle Donne — a Mystics legend and 2026 Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame inductee — alongside 18-time Paralympic gold medalist Jessica Long and D.C. leaders. From there, a Mystics-branded Big Bus will travel to schools across all eight wards over four days. This is part of our multi-million-dollar District of Play initiative, and it’s only the beginning for EquipHER. To every girl athlete in D.C.: Monumental Sports & Entertainment is rooting for you. 🏀
