The Human Side of Transitions !! The part of transitions that rarely gets enough planning time? The first 4 weeks after Go-live. Everything before that gets enormous attention. Process mapping, SOP documentation, ERP access, Governance frameworks. Rightly so. But when the new team starts running the process for the first time, something very human happens. They're careful. Almost too careful. Every ambiguity gets escalated. Turnaround times stretch. And that's not a failure. It's what happens when capable professionals do unfamiliar work with high expectations watching. Over 40+ transitions, I've noticed the operation truly stabilizes not when SLAs hit target, but when the team's mindset shifts. From "am I doing this right?" to "why is this done this way?" That shift, from caution to curiosity, is the real go-live moment. What accelerates it? One thing above all: visible senior presence in those early days. Not auditing. Not reviewing. Just being there, saying clearly: "We expected a learning curve. We planned for it. Ask every question." Knowledge transfer gives the team the process. That first few week gives them the confidence. Every transition has two parallel workstreams. The technical one (process, systems, governance) and the confidence one (trust, psychological safety, early wins). The second is quieter, harder to measure, and absolutely determines whether the first succeeds. Both deserve a plan. ☘️ #Transitions #ChangeManagement #Operations #SharedServices #FinanceAndAccounting #P2P #Procurement #R2R #O2C Saurav Wadhwa Avijit Sengupta Nishi Kant Rai Hardeep Singh Sidana Mynd Integrated Solutions Pvt.
