This generation’s desire to perform for everyone but belong to no one—being globally visible yet locally invisible—may be the most compelling example of a great beat without lyrics or soul. I truly believe we need to turn our focus inward—toward our families, loved ones, faith, and core values—rather than seeking validation from strangers on social media. So this week, let’s reconnect with old friends, share a meal with loved ones without distractions, and hug the person who is your world.
May 2026Here is a proud parent moment. My daughter Fran Kanetzky has been working on her senior year Capstone project based on the Georgia Aquarium . It was not missed on me the significant technical resources need to complete this project at one point my daughter was allocated 75 GPU VMs to render the work. Technical thanks should go to the Visualization, Texas A&M University (Viz Lab) at Texas A&M University for allowing my daughter to push her skills to this level and give her the resources needed for the ambitious project. My daughter's drive, and passion with over 8 years of animation study, started at College Station ISD with Patrick Powell at College Station High School and finalizing at Texas A&M University under the Visualization program. The project is still in draft form until this week, but I wanted to share these early results. She took on the challenge of animating hundreds of schooling fish, along with manta rays, sharks, and two whale sharks, Taroko and Yushan. Congratulation Frances, can't wait to see what you bring us in grad school. Turn on the sound and enjoy the ambiance Additional tags: Lisa Kanetzky
