NHS supply chain have committed to apply the methodology and I think they've committed to do that publicly which we clearly welcome.
View source postIt’s Mental Health Awareness Week, and our Wellbeing Champions group at NHS Supply Chain have put together a fantastic programme of “Lunch & Learn” sessions—covering topics chosen by our colleagues. It didn’t surprise me to see global uncertainty and environmental concerns high on the list. When Riddhi P. approached me to host a session, I jumped at the chance. I focused on eco-anxiety—a topic close to my heart. Working in sustainability means we’re often exposed to the realities of the environmental challenges we face, and the emotional impact that comes with them. The session created a space to openly share how we’re feeling, and how these emotions show up both in our personal lives and at work. It was a powerful reminder that our feelings can also be a catalyst for positive action—especially when we focus on the changes within our control. We explored practical steps we can take individually and professionally, promoting The Carbon Literacy Project training to better understand our impact and influence. A highlight was also hearing about Smiley Movement which is my new favourite thing —positive, uplifting stories aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. A great reminder that there is progress happening, and hope alongside the challenges 🌍 #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek #Wellbeing #Sustainability #EcoAnxiety #CarbonLiteracy #UNSDGs #GreenerNHS #EcoAnxiety
May 2026Yesterday, I completed the London Marathon in support of Air Ambulances UK with Matt Wynn . Both Matt and I finished in good times and made the most of the experience. I am very pleased with the time of 3:34 and managed to come through the day without aggravating my troublesome thigh. Together we have raised over £3000 for Air Ambulances UK ; if anyone would like to add to our sponsorship, the link is below. https://lnkd.in/efcTFj2g I'd like to thank Pradeep Manayath , Vinay Singhvi and Harpreet P. from Tata Consultancy Services who, when they heard about our opportunity to raise sponsorship for Air Ambulances UK , kindly manage to provide Matt and I with our entries. I'd like to thank Matt Wynn for his support through training and on the day, all of the team at NHS Supply Chain who have supported us throughout, and, of course, all of those who have been able to sponsor us and support Air Ambulances UK . Without all of this support and motivation, the day would be much harder! Finally, I'd like to thank Ella Guest and the The Thornbury Clinic for getting my thigh through recovery enough to get to the start and the finish lines.
Apr 2026Had the best couple of days with my immediate team, team day yesterday discussing ways of working and taking a much needed pause to reflect on each of our respective portfolios of work❤️ Tracey Cammish Joanne Norris Riddhi P. Fay C. Followed today with our regular Clinical BIG lunch with the wider Clinical community focusing on population health management and how NHS Supply chain can play a vital role in reducing health inequalities 🏥🩺🩻 HUGE thank you to Claire Dyson , Claudette Collins Achu , Claudia W. , Natalie Clarke and Conor for all your hard work!
Apr 2026Completing my last long run before the marathon was as much a mental as a physical challenge. Over Easter weekend I managed to strain an interesting variety of muscles around my left thigh. That only left 3 weeks to fully rehab and maintain fitness for the London Marathon. The mind is a funny thing, spending 100 minutes being certain you can feel something not quite right is not the distraction I was looking for today. But I made it... and no obvious issues. My last physio session is tomorrow to test recovery and readiness and then (hopefully) onto the big day on Sunday. Trying to balance letting the NHS Supply Chain team down, letting Matt Wynn down, letting Air Ambulances UK down with my own health has been tough. I am sure that we all live with some doubts all the time, this one has shown me how consuming they can be. But here we go, as long as the clinical experts say I can do this, I will be there at the start line on Sunday. And with a little luck, I should also see the finish! Just maybe a little slower than planned! Thank you to all of you who have sponsored Matt Wynn and I so far, we really appreciate it. If you are able to support Air Ambulances UK the link is below, I know that all donations will go the support critical care where it is needed most. https://lnkd.in/efcTFj2g
