Great job by the Contaminants & Impurities in Ethylene Plants subcommittee in putting together 2 great sessions last week at the AIChE Spring Meeting/ Ethylene Producer Conference in Houston. The sessions were well attended, and I received good feedback from those who attended. This success would however not be possible without the great work put together by our speakers. I would like to thank Stephen Garza (Baker Hughes), Tom Starr (Nalco), Carl Peterson (Veolia) and Jacob Tilley (Veolia) for the great presentation they delivered during our tutorial on contaminants in utility systems. For our standard contaminant session, I want to thank Betty Latosinsky (Borouge International), Jessica Burgin (Nalco), Dave Smith (Nalco), Sammy Alnasleh (Nalco), Dave Dixon (Nalco), Carlos Vianna (Clariant) and Michal Drebitka (Intecha) who also delivered great presentations. Also, thanks to our speakers' respective organizations, who allowed them to share their knowledge in this public forum. Special thanks to Jessica Burgin who stepped in last minute as Co-Chair for the tutorial session as our current Co-Chair, Debby Rossana had to miss the conference due to a bad fever. Thanks to Debby as well, who despite her fever helped remotely in any way she could. We will start soon to work for next year session. We welcome anyone who would like to present papers or provide idea on topics of interest to reach out to any members of our subcommittee.
