Church tower inspection ahead of pointing and remedial works with Complete Access & Maintenance Solutions . The Jackdaw nest was pretty obvious but the access to the nest with six Coal Tit chicks was via a narrow vertical crevice that could very easily have been missed. No evidence of bats on this survey. With swabs for eDNA analysis of roosting evidence now a possibility, it'll be interesting to see if more ecologists utilise rope access to reach potential features for a proper inspection.
May 2026📌 Just spent the last 48 hours at the Why Summit in London, and I left with a fundamental shift in how I view "growth." ↪️ When I got the invitation, the first thought was Albert Kittoe what are you going to do there as you don't or has ever worked in the financial sector but then I remembered what my mentor Jamal Ahmed always said about growth mindset. I accepted the invitation and pushed myself to attend. ↪️ In a room full of leaders from the world’s top financial institutions, the conversation wasn’t about how to manage projects better. It was about how to orchestrate change in a world where "business as usual" no longer exists. 𝟯 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝘆 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗲𝘁: 💥 In the Strategic Project Portfolio Management (SPPM) world, we used to fear "unplanned changes." Now, the ability to pivot a multi-million pound portfolio mid-quarter is the only true competitive advantage. 💥 AI can optimize a schedule, but it cannot define a "Why." Leadership is becoming more human, not less. 💥 The danger of "Watermelon Projects" (green on the outside, red on the inside). Growth mindset means being brave enough to show the red early and solve it together. ↪️ It is important for project teams to start thinking from the portfolio perspective and evaluate how the deliverables are contributing to the strategic goal of the organisation. ↪️ It was refreshing to engage in conversations that prioritized long-term resilience over short-term "green" ticks. ↪️ To my network, how are you balancing the need for rigid structure with the necessity of radical flexibility this year? #WhySummit #London2026 #GrowthMindset #ProjectManagement #StrategicPPM #FinancialServices #TransformationLeadership
May 2026🧠 I am thrilled to share that I officially successfully completed my examination and am now a certified Director of Artificial Intelligence Governance (DAIG), awarded by the Corporate Governance Institute. Thank you to Kersi Porbunderwala Prof. Hernan Huwyler, MBA CPA CAIO for your training and the practical projects. To my fellow colleagues Evan Benjamin Juan Pablo González Gutiérrez Donna Rinck thank you for making the class enjoyable ↪️ In an era where several leaders (about 76% per research) expect AI to drive substantial transformation within the next three years , the gap between rapid adoption and robust oversight is a "real and present danger" for boards and executives alike. ↪️ My journey from seeing data protection as a department of "No" to this certification has reinforced three critical pillars for the modern enterprise: 💥 1. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 "𝗡𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆": It is no longer enough to claim "transparent AI." Boards must now govern the entire technical lifecycle from datasets to explainability through to ensure public claims align with actual model behaviour. 💥 2. 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 "𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗱𝗼𝘄 𝗔𝗜": Innovation shouldn't happen in secret. We must move from the chaos of unauthorized, unvetted tools to a state of "Sanctioned Innovation" by implementing clear, actionable guardrails that protect company data and reputation. 💥 3. 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗔𝗜 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆: Under Article 4 of the EU AI Act, AI literacy is no longer optional. Organizations must equip their staff with the skills to make informed deployments and understand the risks of the systems they use. ↪️ My goal for achieving DAIG, is to act as the "Guardrail" that supports the "Gas Pedal" of innovation, ensuring that as we move fast, we do so with integrity, compliance, and strategic foresight. ↪️ I am looking forward to engaging with fellow leaders, board members, and AI practitioners who are committed to building a future where AI is as open as possible to maximize benefits, and as closed as necessary to protect our collective rights. Let’s connect and discuss how we can bridge the governance gap in your organization! #AIGovernance #DAIG #EUAIAct #CorporateGovernance #AIStrategy #ResponsibleAI #DigitalTransformation #CopenhagenCompliance
