A highlight of my career with Newcrest Mine. Finishing off from school to being a trades assistant (electrical - which are the best days of my career). After almost 3 years in the field assisting tradesmen, I was fortunate to be selected as a trainee/cadet draftsperson with the Projects & Engineering Team (after interviewing almost 5x candidates). What provoke the Design & Drafting Team to select me is another long story but ALL Praise & Glory to The LORD Almighty 🙏. To cut the story short, apart from doing all the required Electrical & Instrumentation Design/Drawings stuffs, I was again fortunate to learn how to use #Faro 3D Scanner (field application) as an additional skill set. More than 7 years on, without a legit training of the 3D Faro Scanner I still can remember the quick tactics learned and appreciate it all to date. Been working under some incredible expert & a nation. Clifford Jones , @Scoth Wruck, & @Mathias Daniel. We made it to into the National back in 2019 and the company's magazine in 2018.
May 2026It was such an honor to be asked to speak at Accepted Students Day and advocate for the School of Business and Management. To be able to express my own journey these past four years to inspire students who are just about to start their own was a nostalgic opportunity to reflect on how SUNY Brockport & SUNY Brockport School of Business and Management has shaped the person I am today. As these final weeks come to and end, I can only hope that the bright-eyed students I had the privilege to speak to come to realize that Brockport is more than just a university but a community that truly invests in your potential.
