#8Years ago today I landed in Dubai A PIA ticket. Lahore 🇵🇰 08:45 -> Dubai 🇦🇪 11:05. A backpack and an offer letter from #Ciklum .. deployed into #OSN to build digital payments system Checkout API, ApplePay, PayPal, KNet, ZainCash... integrations that had to work every single time, for every single user, without fail. That year, #Ciklum gave me a "Best Emerging Talent" award. I didn't fully understand what I was emerging into yet 🙂 A few months at #OmnicomMENA . Digital Ads & marketing/media planning systems. A completely different world. Expanded the horizon. Then #OSN called me back. Permanently. and everything changed. Built Digital Asset Management.. from scratch. Microservices on Azure. Then headed development of OSNtv mobile apps across iOS, Android, and ATV. Different teams. Different systems. Every year a different challenge. This year.. Outstanding in my annual review of-course thanks to all my colleagues & SVP Tech for that one #8years in. Still earning it. But honestly? I never planned to stay this long. I came on a contract. Then #Dubai happened. The pace. The scale. The people.. from every corner of the world, all here building something. There's an energy in this city that gets into you quietly. You don't notice it until someone asks "when are you going back?" and you realize you stopped thinking about that a long time ago. #Dubai groomed me. As an engineer. As a professional. As a person. Thank you Ciklum Pakistan for the stepping stone... truth be told I wasn't even ready for it. I was casually switching jobs in Lahore. going abroad wasn't on my radar. Not even close. Then the HR call came. "We're sending you to Dubai." I was surpriesd and then i consulted my teacher Imran Ashraf, and told him I didn't know what to do. He said something I still carry.. "Go. People wait years for this opportunity. You just got lucky." Family backed me. 15 days later.. passport done, visa done, bag packed and Landed in Dubai Thank you #OSN for the room to evolve.. And thank you #Dubai .. you became home before I even realized it. If anyone asks me where to start over, where to build, where to become someone.. I only have one answer i.e "Habibi Come To #Dubai " 🇦🇪 P.S. Don't judge the 2018 photography skills.. I've improved. Slightly ;)
May 2026The difference between a smooth production release and a disaster is usually decided weeks before deployment. In sprint planning. Backlog refinement. Risk escalation. Release governance. And the conversations most teams rush through. I shared practical lessons from managing Android STB, firmware, apps and partner telecom delivery programs where execution discipline mattered more than slide decks. I have put my thought in below article: https://lnkd.in/dtPNuR8t #Agile #DeliveryManagement #EngineeringLeadership #ProgramManagement #DevOps #Firmware #Telecom #ReleaseManagement #TechnicalLeadership #SoftwareDelivery #EngineeringManagement #ChapterLead
May 2026Most organizations are not failing at AI because of technology. They’re failing because they’re not ready for it. From an Enterprise & AI Architecture perspective, AI readiness is not a tool problem; it’s a capability problem. So I built a structured assessment framework (open source) that evaluates: → Strategy → Technology → Data → Organization → Security → Use Cases Across these 6 pillars, organizations get: ✔ A clear AI maturity score (from risk → AI-native) ✔ A radar view of strengths and gaps ✔ Identification of hidden operational risks ✔ A 3-phase roadmap to scale AI properly This is not another checklist. It’s a benchmarking tool to move from AI experiments → enterprise capability. Because in the end, AI success is not about models, it’s about how your organization is built to support them.
