🏴 Edinburgh. 18–22 May 🏴 Most people in the commercial internet space have never heard of a RIPE Meeting. That's not a criticism. It's an observation, and honestly, it's part of why I keep going. RIPE NCC isn't a conference in the traditional sense. There are no keynote speakers selling you a vision. No vendor expo floor. No carefully stage-managed panel discussions. It's five days when network operators, ISPs and the people who actually run internet infrastructure come together to work through the policies, technical standards and operational practices that keep the internet functioning. Decisions get made. Consensus gets built. The plumbing of the internet gets quietly agreed upon by the people responsible for it. I'll be at RIPE 92 in Edinburgh, 18–22 May, with my colleague Richard Charrett from PCCW GLOBAL Limited | Console Connect . Here's my honest take on why that matters commercially, not just technically: The further you sit from the infrastructure layer, the more invisible these conversations become, the more exposed you are when the outcomes affect your business. IP address policy, routing security, BGP integrity and IPv6 transition timelines aren't abstract engineering topics. They shape what you can sell, how your services perform and which infrastructure partners are actually worth working with long-term. Being in the room isn't just about learning. It's about having a perspective that most people in commercial and product roles simply don't have. If you're attending RIPE 92 and want to connect, whether for a coffee between sessions or a proper conversation, send me a message to jwells@pccwglobal.com . 🏴 Edinburgh. 18–22 May 🏴 #RIPE92 #InternetInfrastructure #NetworkOperators #BGP #IPv6 #RoutingSecurity #TechLeadership #Edinburgh Petros Mavroidis | Jonathan Webster | Peter Carusone | Shaheen Kalla | Loraine Fernandes | sathish pachamuthu | Luba Salam | Liza Rabinovich | Carol Cestari | Nicola Maxwell | Francesco Rocci | Firas Yamak | Roy T. | Lamees Shafi | Avinash Rawal | John Richardson | Kanas Ko | Matti Nash | Jim Hilbert | Paul Boniface | Graham Brooks | Alex Henthorn-Iwane | Ian Williams | David Sweet | Chris Harper | Alison Jaina | Glenn Robertson | Jezzibell Gilmore | Trent Blakely | Fay Kouna | Alex Hawkes | Antonio Leopoldo | Jennifer Holmes, EMBA | Inga Turner | Holly Ruff

Apr 2026I’m looking forward to attending CCT Events Nordics 2026 in Oslo next week, where some of the most important conversations in global connectivity, digital infrastructure & network strategy will take place. The Nordics continue to stand out as a critical market for the next phase of infrastructure growth. This growth is being shaped by AI demand, hyper-scale expansion, sustainability priorities, cross-border fibre development & the increasing need for resilient, high-capacity connectivity. As Head of Indirect Sales, Europe at PCCW GLOBAL Limited | Console Connect , I’m especially interested in the opportunities that emerge when carriers, cloud providers, data centre operators & ecosystem partners work together to solve complex connectivity challenges and unlock new growth. If you’ll be at CCT Nordics, I welcome the opportunity to connect & exchange views on the market trends shaping the region & the partnership models that will matter most in 2026 and beyond. #CCTNordics2026 #DigitalInfrastructure #Connectivity #Telecommunications #CloudInfrastructure #Partnerships #PCCWGlobal #Nordics Petros Mavroidis | Jonathan Webster | Peter Carusone | Shaheen Kalla | Loraine Fernandes | sathish pachamuthu | Liza Rabinovich | Christoph Schwarz | Carol Cestari | Nicola Maxwell | Francesco Rocci | Firas Yamak | Roy T. | Lamees Shafi | Richard Charrett | Avinash Rawal | John Richardson | Kanas Ko | Matti Nash | Jim Hilbert | Paul Boniface | Graham Brooks | Alex Henthorn-Iwane | Ian Williams | David Sweet | Chris Harper | Alison Jaina | Glenn Robertson | Jezzibell Gilmore | Trent Blakely | Ben Edmond | Fay Kouna | Alex Hawkes | Joe McHugh | Sylvie Agenet | Rachel Jones
