LinkedInArtificial Intelligence

I've noticed recently that I'm becoming very (overly?) dependent on Claude for decision making. I run any decision greater than what I'm having for lunch through Claude for critical review. Pre-AI, I used to be (cautiously) confident and now I find myself hesitating until Claude validates my decision. Given all the context Claude has (every meeting transcript, every email, every Slack message, every Google Doc, etc), all my past decisions + their outcomes, and near AGI-intelligence, Claude materially helps me by: - Offering data to show the options / decision in context - Arguing both for and against a decision, so I can see both sides - Helping me think through the second and third order implications of the decision (legal, company culture, reputation, etc) - Brainstorming alternative approaches to take - Removing emotion and other human biases from decision making Claude often pushes back on me (put "Don't be sycophantic to me" in personal preferences) and will eagerly tell me when I'm about to make a poor decision (and tell me why, often with data). I don't do what Claude says every time, but I do consider Claude a worthy peer whose input needs to be taken seriously. My impulse is to think my over-reliance on Claude is some how bad. In my gut this feels wrong, like an unhealthy codependent relationship. But I have to say - Claude has made me a materially better leader and I am now taking decisions more confidently - substantiated with more data - than I ever have before.
