RSUs are that rare workplace relationship that actually gets better with time. 😄 The longer you stay aligned with outcomes, the more they show up - vested and verified ✨ That’s why I love the idea of an RSU vesting dashboard - because confidence grows when the numbers are visible. 💜📊 #Qapita #EkWittyKaur #ESOPs #RSUs
Apr 2026I had a chance to sit down with nextNYC 's Charlie O'Donnell to chat about how companies should think about designing their employee equity budgets. A good question on common mistake we see at Qapita with founders defaulting to a template without adjusting it to their own situation. Benchmarks and data are useful to understand what's out there, but your company's equity framework should ultimately reflect what matters to you, how your business is set up, your hiring plans, and the talent you're competing for - especially with companies becoming increasingly international from day one.
Apr 20263 months ago, Andrej Karpathy posted about feeling behind in AI. That post stuck with me — so I picked something I wanted to learn, found a real problem I had, and started building. I started by learning how to build AI agents. Hello Interview gave me the perfect inspiration, and I originally set out to build something similar for candidates practicing system design, but for free. But it didn't feel personal enough to keep me going. The problem I actually live with every day is different: at Qapita , I conduct a lot of technical interviews, and I keep struggling with the same things — coming up with the right questions on the fly, and fairly evaluating the candidate afterwards. So I scrapped the first idea, pivoted, and built DesignInterview.ai . It's a completely free platform built specifically for the interviewer: - AI Copilot: Whether it's LLD, HLD, or DSA, the platform gives you real-time follow-up question suggestions based on the candidate's actual design or code on a shared screen. - Easy HR Feedback: Post-interview, you get a checklist (e.g., "Did they explain idempotency?"). Checking these off builds a score. I used to be so lazy about writing structured feedback, so I built this for myself! - AI Summaries: The platform won't tell you "Hire" or "No-Hire" — that's your call. But the AI generates a detailed interview summary so you can make a confident, well-documented decision. Part of the goal was to push myself on the infrastructure side. So instead of taking the easy route, I spent hours figuring out how to wire up .NET, LangGraph, Next.js , and WebSockets, in microservices and then actually deploy the whole ecosystem (plus Postgres and all Security aspects) to AWS. I also spent $20 on a ChatGPT Codex subscription — but instead of asking it to write code, I used it to ask a ton of fundamental questions. That shift in how I used AI made a huge difference in building a real mental model for these technologies. Still have so much to learn, but that approach felt right. Also: The UI in most places is strictly "vibe coded," and things might break! 😂 It's free — try it on your next interview round and tell me what breaks.
