LinkedInAI Transformation

AI transformation is more than technology rollouts. It requires a cultural shift. or as i would say it without AI "politness" - You can lead the horse to the water, but you could not make it drink I recently participated in a panel discussion at CIO ForwardTech Summit masterfully moderated by Georgina Owens . The conversation focused on designing human-centred, technology-enabled organisations. One key point I focused on was that bringing people on the AI transformation journey is the real leadership challenge. All change creates uncertainty. As leaders, we must use new tools ourselves, show the value, and make it clear that becoming AI-native is now part of how we stay relevant, especially in technology roles. At Quadient , we’ve anchored this approach through our AI Centre of Excellence (Shavoune Mills!!!), not as an #IT initiative, but rather as a cross-functional engine driving adoption, education, and #AI champions across the business. It reinforces that AI is not just another platform, but a transformational lever for the entire organisation. To be effective, sponsorship must be shared by People and Technology leaders who are aligned and visibly committed (kudos to you Brandon Batt to be best partner in this journey). AI transformation must be owned collectively, combining technology direction, cultural change, and workforce development. Companies provide the framework: clear learning pathways and governance for safe experimentation. But accountability lies with each individual to actively engage with AI as part of their future - see above about the "drinking horse" AI becomes an enabler, not a threat, when leadership is aligned and people choose to lean in. Across 8,000+ officers and staff, the dominant issues cited are fragmented systems, poor interoperability, and repeated re‑keying of the same information across platforms that don’t talk to each other. In CTO environments, that “swivel‑chair” reality isn’t just frustrating — it directly affects throughput, cost, and risk. CTOs sit at the sharp end of this problem. High‑volume statutory correspondence, strict legal timelines, audit scrutiny, and rising postal costs leave very little tolerance for inefficiency or error. Yet many teams are still forced to bridge gaps manually between case systems, document production, finance, and delivery channels. This is exactly where Unified Communication Management makes a practical difference. At Quadient, we don’t ask CTOs to rip out core systems or wait years for end‑to‑end replacement programmes. Instead, we sit across existing systems, acting as a single source of truth for outbound communications: One controlled process for producing NIPs, FPNs, SJPN packs and related notices Fewer touchpoints and reduced re‑keying between disconnected systems Standardised, force‑controlled templates with full auditability Hybrid delivery (post and digital) managed through a single workflow Better visibility of volumes, costs, and exceptions The survey shows the direction of travel is clear: simplification, integration, and consistency. For CTOs, the challenge now is delivering those outcomes at operational pace, without increasing risk or disrupting live services. If we want to avoid writing the same report again in 5–10 years, the focus has to shift from diagnosing the problem to implementing solutions that genuinely reduce the swivel‑chair burden — especially in high‑pressure environments like Central Ticket Offices. #CentralTicketOffice #CTO #Policing #PoliceICT #RoadSafety #Enforcement #OperationalEfficiency #DigitalButPractical

A 7am choice today… Go to Pilates class or change into something stage-appropriate for a panel with HotTopics on Agentic AI. I changed. Because this shift isn’t just about technology, it’s about accountability. At Quadient , our ambition is clear: accelerate AI adoption (including agentic) in a way that’s grounded, responsible, and outcome-driven. A few points I shared: • Business accountability remains Delegating to AI agents doesn’t remove ownership of outcomes. • Agentic processes need clear owners If AI makes decisions, accountability can’t be vague. • CIOs must orchestrate with guardrails Ensuring agents operate safely, transparently, and within defined boundaries is now core to the role. Agentic AI isn’t just changing how work gets done, it’s changing who stands behind it. Thank you Peter Stojanovic for invigorating conversation

Today, I was one more time honored to dialogue with the CIFFOP Students of the Master in HR at Université de Paris Pantheon Assas. We commented the European Directive about Pay Transparency that will soon become law in all Countries of the European Union. I had the opportunity to share what we do Quadient on this matter, and exchange about how the directive can help to change company and management cultures thanks to transparency around reward matters. I have been asked if companies could become more inclusive thanks to transparency and the answer is clearly and definitely YES. Thanks to Tiziana Trefiletti for inviting me. This reinforced our friendshipness and collaboration contributing at our best in favor of young talent. Not a cohincidence, we are both active members of the Bocconi Alumni Community on our respective cities. #paytransparency #inclusion #mentoring #talentdevelopment

April is #StressAwarenessMonth — a great reminder that workplace stress doesn’t just come from big deadlines or major decisions. Often, it’s the everyday friction in routine tasks that adds up. Back-office communication processes — from managing customer correspondence to handling critical documents — can be time-consuming, repetitive, and prone to errors. When systems are disconnected or overly manual, stress levels rise and productivity drops. This is where Quadient solutions make a real difference. By streamlining and automating communication workflows, Quadient helps organizations: ✔ Reduce manual effort and errors ✔ Ensure timely, accurate communications ✔ Improve visibility and control ✔ Free up teams to focus on higher-value work Less friction in daily operations means less stress for employees — and better experiences for customers. This #StressAwarenessMonth , it’s worth asking: where can you simplify to support your teams better? #WorkplaceWellbeing #DigitalTransformation #CustomerCommunications #Automation

We set up a stress simulator in Canary Wharf and honestly? Some of you are THRIVING. Others… we won’t name names. 😅 We’re challenging people to tackle everyday office tasks while we measure their stress levels in real time. The coolest, most unflappable human wins a brand new iPhone. 📱 Think you’ve got what it takes? Or are you the type who sweats at a PDF? Only one way to find out. Come find us today and tomorrow — we’re right here in Canary Wharf, judging your cortisol levels and handing out glory (and an iPhone) to whoever keeps their cool. Don’t let your coworkers out-chill you. That’s just embarrassing. 😂 📍 Canary Wharf | Today & Tomorrow #Quadient #CanaryWharf #StressTest #ComePlayWithUs #WorkSmarter #WinAnIPhone
