As Women's History Month comes to a close, I wanted to share one highlight. Last week, I had dinner with the Persistence.org community, a group of female executives and founders in tech who show up for real conversations, not surface-level ones. The topic that dominated the evening is one I think about constantly: should enterprises build their AI agents or buy them? What made the discussion different from the usual conference debate is that everyone spoke from experience, not theory. Real decisions, real tradeoffs, real consequences. The conversation naturally moved from build versus buy into security and compliance, which is where things got honest fast. Most enterprises know they need to figure this out. Fewer have actually figured it out. Thank you to Catherine Stewart , Lan Xuezhao , and the Basis Set team for bringing this group together. I always love connecting with all these incredible women at your Persistence Community events. Not by talking about women in AI, but by being women in AI doing the work.
