I had my first robotaxi experience – and my first ride in a Zoox robotaxi – this past weekend in San Francisco. The ride was incredibly smooth and natural. I was especially impressed by how it handled a tricky cross-traffic situation, taking preemptive evasive action when it wasn’t fully confident the other vehicle would yield the right of way. Classic defensive driving, and the bot nailed it. I was riding solo for these trips, but the carriage-style seating will be great for exploring the city with friends. And one more thing: the tunes were on fire! 🎵🔥
