It was a pleasure to present and discuss the potential of Sustainable Aviation Fuels ( #SAF ) in Australia with the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) . We covered the #Energy Trilemma and how the geo-political landscape is impacting #trade relations. May 2026I am the lead coach and mentor for a FIRST Robotic high school team where my son(12th grade) is the team captain and my daughter (9th grade) is the business lead. This year have been very interesting. We built an overcomplicated robot that could do everything in the missions but it was prone to damages. After our first competition we spent every evening after work and the whole easter break designing and building a new robot from scratch. Simple, efficient and durable. Our next competition went ok but we still needed tweaking. Finally we got it right. At the championship we secured a second place as well as the Impact award and are now heading to the World Championship in Houston, Texas. This means flights for all students, hotel and transporting the robot and our toolbenches. Thanks to companies such as Ricardo and many other generous sponsors we have been able to go this far but for many of our students the last hurdle for Worlds is a short notice flight and hotel cost. https://lnkd.in/eTvaUgq5
