I took some of my team to visit our friends at Octopus Energy yesterday to learn more about how they engage and motivate their people, their approach to customer service, and their operating model. They were fantastic hosts! A huge thank you to the Octopus team for their generosity and hospitality. The day was exceptionally well organised, thoughtfully tailored to what we were most interested in, and delivered with warmth and energy (excuse the puns!) We came away with plenty of new ideas to enhance how we do things, along with some reassuring synergies in areas where our approaches are aligning. And safe to say—Connie the Octopus and the merch were a big hit with the team!! 🐙 Thank you to all the Octopus team, particularly Tara Saran Mullen and Jon Paull who made it happen!
