It was a great experience attending the Second Front Offset Symposium yesterday and engaging with leaders across government, defense, and cybersecurity sectors. I appreciated the opportunity to exchange insights with so many talented professionals and organizations working to strengthen the national security and cloud ecosystem. Looking forward to continuing these conversations and helping organizations navigate secure growth in highly regulated environments. #SecondFront , #Cybersecurity , #GovTech , #Compliance , #Schellman
May 2026Pumped to welcome J.R. Goldman to the growing Schellman sales team. J.R. joins the team out of Florida and as a Florida State alum he will have to battle with the large contingency of UF alums at the firm. Good luck, but should make for a fun college football season... His background in technology, cybersecurity and AI will be a huge benefit to the team and his prospects and clients. Stoked to have you here J.R.!
Apr 2026Happy Earth Day 🌎 This year, we wanted to celebrate in a way that reflects who we are and what we believe...leaving things better than we found them. That’s why we planted one tree for every Schellman employee. It’s a simple gesture, but one that represents something bigger.
Apr 2026One quarter into being a sales leader and I think I am getting closer to my "flow state". I know this because I while I am still tired at times (this prob never goes away?), I am not flat out exhausted like I was for a lot of Q1. Biggest surprise was the time it took to build up my endurance, both mentally and physically. The switch from seller to leader was way more strenuous than I thought in both of those areas. Other things I am getting better at: - Having a handle on what good looks like as a leader, which ultimately is super helpful to the team - Positive delegation and "letting go" of things because I trust the team - Running tighter 1x1's that get me the info I need but also help the team and get them what they need - Sharing my way but acknowledging it is not "the way" - Still doing outbound and pipeline generation because I will not ask people to do things I cannot - Deal coaching and strategy (I love this part) - Communicating better and more directly, but always with empathy and transparency - Holding my team accountable when needed, but because I want the best for them - Finding ways to enable the team even if my job is not "enablement" - "Blocking and tackling" so the team can do their jobs effectively - My own personal time management, which is a work in progress There are still a ton of things I need to get better at as we grow and scale. One thing I know for sure is that I care a lot about the success of my team and the firm, more than I care about my own personal success in the role. I hope that one never changes and I doubt it will. Also, if what I wrote above are things you are looking for in a leader, we are hiring. The upside at Schellman feels massive, reach out if you want to learn more. #karpediem
