May 2026🔍 OFM — How We Compare Multiple Scenarios in Decline Curve Analysis One feature in OFM’s Forecast module that I personally find very useful is the ability to compare multiple forecasting scenarios in a single view. In real work, We rarely rely on just one forecast. There are always questions like: What if things go better? What if they don’t? What changed compared to our earlier assumptions? With OFM, we can easily: ✔️ Build multiple scenarios ✔️ Overlay them in one chart ✔️ Use different colors to quickly see the differences This makes it much more intuitive to evaluate uncertainty and explain the story behind the forecast. Some scenarios I often look at: • Optimistic vs conservative cases • Previous forecast vs current updated forecast • Comparing different decline models • Understanding the impact of operational changes • Before vs after an intervention Another thing I like to do is add supporting data into the same chart. For example, overlaying a water rate trend together with the oil decline curve. This small addition often gives extra insight: ➡️ You start to see when the reservoir behavior shifts ➡️ Water increase becomes more obvious ➡️ It helps me decide where the decline trend should really start Putting everything into one view makes the analysis feel more complete and easier to trust. If you’re exploring OFM or working on DCA, feel free to reach out — happy to share how I usually approach it, or walk through a quick demo. #OilAndGas #DeclineCurveAnalysis #ReservoirEngineering #OFM #Forecasting #DataAnalytics
