There’s no shortage of ambition around AI right now. Turning that ambition into real deployment is proving harder than expected. In new research with Forrester, we found most IT leaders are still working through a more fundamental issue: their digital workplace wasn’t built for AI. Fragmented systems. Disconnected knowledge. Gaps in governance. These challenges were always there. AI just makes them impossible to ignore. Scaling AI means fixing the environment it runs in. The digital workplace isn’t a destination anymore. It’s the system that powers how work happens. For years, we’ve believed work should feel simpler. That’s what we’ve been building toward. And now AI is forcing the rest of the market to confront it. If work is fragmented, AI struggles. If it’s connected, AI accelerates. This study validates our belief that the future isn’t more systems layered on top; it’s a system that connects what already exists and moves work forward. You don’t need to rebuild everything. You need to unify it. https://lnkd.in/gGNPSCjY Simpplr

As I reread the executive message I drafted on our company-wide Slack for the 10th time (come on, IC managers, we’ve all done it), I find myself reflecting on how my career has taken shape over the past decade. These days, my role sits squarely in Marketing + Social Media. And yet, I’m still ghostwriting exec messages for internal audiences. The work hasn’t really changed, just the lens and where it shows up. When I was in internal comms, social was always there too. A tiny dotted line that slowly became more defined over time. At SEPHORA , I managed an employee-facing (but public) Instagram account, spotlighting cast members across the country, and built a blog to share internal culture externally. At Pure Storage , I launched an employer brand initiative that leaned heavily into social. At Opendoor and Benchling , I supported advocacy programs using tools like Sprout Social, Inc. and Simpplr (hey, full circle moment). At all of these companies, my title was “Internal Comms Manager.” But it was never just internal, was it? (Anyone who’s worked in crisis comms knows exactly what I mean… 🫠) Now I’ve flipped the script a bit. But from where I’m sitting, the work still depends on the same foundation. And I’d be nowhere without the IC powerhouses I get to work alongside each day. ( Carolyn Regan 💖 ) 🖼️: me circa 2018 at one of Sephora’s awesome office events, wearing a bold lip obvi

75% of organizations want an AI-powered workplace. Only 25% have built one. 📉 The "missing link"? Infrastructure. Without a unified platform, AI creates more technical debt than ROI. Great insights here from Forrester on bridging the gap from ambition to reality Simpplr
