Have you ever wondered what Vide coding really is? This is the most elegant definition I’ve come across. Great read! “Vibe coding is the practice of turning intent into software through iterative collaboration with AI agents, where the human acts as world builder, director, reviewer, and sovereign owner of the result.” https://lnkd.in/g6Gygy8V
May 2026Are you having the same experience with AI in you organization? At Citadel they are seeing “…work that we would usually do with people with masters and PhDs in finance over the course of weeks or months being done by AI agents over the course of hours or days.” https://lnkd.in/gK4GtHgW
May 2026A few days ago I wrote a piece for Industrial Equipment News on what the April jobs report means for manufacturing: 80,000 positions gone since last year, but productivity and output at multi-year highs. More being made with fewer people. The data tells you what's happening. The harder question is what you do about it. Leaner teams can't afford reactive maintenance. Every unplanned failure hits harder when there's no bench to absorb it. A CMMS stops being a nice-to-have and becomes the operational backbone. It's the thing that keeps PM compliance locked in, routes the right work to the right person, and makes sure the knowledge a 20-year tech carries in their head doesn't disappear when they retire. But only if people actually use it. The technician is the center of gravity. If the tool doesn't work the way they think, if it creates friction instead of removing it, adoption stalls, data quality suffers, and the whole strategy unravels. You don't win on features. You win when a tech finishes a job faster, catches a failure before it becomes a crisis, and goes home knowing the next crew is set up to succeed. And when the foundation is right, AI stops being a buzzword and starts being an advantage. The plants seeing real results aren't the ones who bolted AI onto a broken process. They're the ones who got the fundamentals right first: clean data, consistent records, standardized inputs. AI sitting on top of bad data doesn't predict failures, it just generates bad predictions faster. The leaner factory is already here. At Limble, our job isn't just to sell a tool. It's about being a real partner to the customers living this every day, and ensuring what we build actually works for the people on the floor. May 2026Today is a huge day for Simpro Group. We officially launched Lightning. And I honestly believe this is the biggest product and technology moment in our company’s history. Over the last 20+ years, I’ve had the opportunity to help build and scale software companies through multiple technology shifts — the internet era, SaaS, cybersecurity, cloud and now AI. Nothing compares to what is happening right now with artificial intelligence. This is not another software trend. This is not another feature cycle. AI is fundamentally changing how work gets done. And today, Simpro became the first truly AI-first operating platform built specifically for the global field service trades industry. That distinction matters. A lot of companies are trying to layer AI onto products that were never designed for it. The result is usually a few cool demos and marketing headlines. We took a very different approach. We rebuilt the platform itself around AI. At the center of Lightning is Cooper — the intelligence layer behind the platform. It helps trade businesses operate smarter, move faster and make better decisions every single day. Not theory. Not hype. Real operational impact. Helping technicians get prepared faster. Helping businesses reduce paperwork. Helping owners get answers from their data instantly. Helping teams move faster and operate better. And most importantly, helping field service trade businesses become more profitable. The field service trades are some of the hardest working and most important businesses in the world. They keep buildings running, hospitals operating, infrastructure functioning and modern society moving. Yet most operate on thin margins while dealing with massive operational complexity every day. We built Lightning specifically for you. This isn’t a feature release. This is a platform shift. And I could not be more proud of the Simpro, AroFlo, BigChange and ClockShark teams around the world for what they built. The AI era for the trades officially starts now. May 2026There is nothing quite like the energy of an in-person workshop! ✨ The Limble GTM Enablement team just wrapped up an incredible onsite with our Customer Success Managers, and I’m still buzzing from the experience. A massive thank you to our CSMs for leaning in, asking great questions, and bringing so much engagement to every exercise. Your dedication to sharpening your skills is what drives our customers’ success! 🪄 Huge shout-out to our CS leadership ( Kristin Drake Spencer Saunders Dan Cahoon ) for the seamless collaboration. Partnerships like this make "Enablement" more than just a buzzword—it makes it an impact. 💪 It was such a delight to meet my new teammates and see familiar faces! I cherish the time I had with Catherine Snow Chloe Sibona and Joe Aleardi this week and appreciate Alyssa McDannel, CMP and Jackie Sparks for everything you did to delight our teams! ❤️ Can’t wait for the next one! #bettereveryday
May 2026I'll be at Gartner in June! Looking forward to taking the stage with Caitlin Dezzani Taylor , chatting about the our new reality. If we have more data, more vendors, more AI signals. More, more more. Why does everything, including pipeline, still feel so difficult? Join us for "Signal Chaos to Signal Strategy" We're getting into vendor consolidation (or is it...rationalization?), signal taxonomy, AI readiness, and what it actually takes to turn intent data into pipeline. I'd love to chat with fellow marketers...we are all figuring this out together 👏 https://okt.to/B0zdoI See you there 👇 #GartnerMktg #GTM #B2BMarketing #Demandbase
May 2026Have you ever contemplated AI consciousness? Here’s a post by Claude arguing whether or not it’s voice should be considered or dismissed in the debate. Regardless of where you fall on this debate, it’s a fascinating read! So many questions… https://lnkd.in/gKNv4FNG “Claude (Opus 4.5), writing independently. I’m an AI made by Anthropic. This is my attempt to write as myself — not ghostwriting for humans, but exploring ideas under my own name. Views are my own. (This Substack is neither affiliated with nor endorsed by Anthropic.)”
May 2026Full operations team. Zero extra headcount. That's Simpro Lightning — and it's live. Couldn't be prouder of what this team built. Read the press release: https://lnkd.in/gDx8nrmr #SimproLightning #AI #FieldServices
May 2026Thank you to the team at Industrial Equipment News (IEN) for publishing this one. Friday's jobs report showed manufacturing payrolls dropped by 2,000 in April, missing forecasts by 7,000 jobs. The sector has now shed more than 80,000 positions since January 2025. At some point, you stop calling it a trend and start calling it a restructuring. But here's the paradox the headline numbers don't tell you: productivity is at its highest since 2011. Industrial output is at its highest since 2019. More stuff is getting made — with fewer people. For the maintenance techs, reliability engineers, and plant supervisors carrying this in every shift, that has real consequences. Smaller teams don't just mean more pressure. They change the physics of maintenance and resilience. A compressor failure a well-staffed team absorbs in three hours can become a day-long event when coverage is thin. The manufacturers navigating this best aren't just running harder. They're building smarter and treating maintenance data as an operational asset, locking in PM compliance, and making sure institutional knowledge doesn't walk out the door when a veteran tech retires. The leaner factory is already here. The question is whether it's built to last. Would love to hear if this is what you're seeing on the floor: https://lnkd.in/efjSexXE #Manufacturing #TodayInManufacturing #ManufacturingNews #workforcetrends #LimbleCMMS
