If you’re a $50M+ company and your “AI stack” is just Claude + a sales engagement tool… yikes Here’s what a real AI workflow should look like at scale: Not “reps using AI.” AI embedded in the system. → Assistants at the rep level → Agents at the workflow level → Automations at the system level That’s the difference. At $50M+, this is what “normal” should look like: Frontline Execution (Assistants) Every SDR, AE, and CSM has role-based AI built into their daily flow. Not generic prompts. Customized to your ICP, your messaging, your CRM data. You should see: → 20–40% reduction in prep time → 30%+ increase in quality outbound volume → Noticeable lift in early-stage conversion If adoption is under 70% weekly… it’s a toy, not a workflow. Cross-Team Agents (Workflow AI) This is where most companies break. AI shouldn’t just draft emails. It should: → Enrich CRM automatically from calls and emails → Flag deal risk based on power dynamics from the call recording → Prep renewal briefs with real usage + expansion signals with a custom green/yellow/red health score for your business → Surface pipeline gaps before QBR panic You should see: → 20–30% reduction in manual CRM work → 10–20% faster stage progression → Cleaner data with <10% error rates If RevOps still says, “We’ll clean that up later”… AI won’t scale. AI as the Revenue OS At maturity, AI isn’t a feature. It’s how you run GTM. You’re reviewing: → Pipeline quality uplift (20%+) → Deal cycle compression (15–30%) → Conversion lift across key stages (10–20%) → 30–60% rep efficiency gains That’s not experimentation. That’s operating leverage. The companies winning at $100M+ aren’t asking: “What AI tool should we buy?” They’re asking: “How do we architect the AI GTM system?” Assistants. Agents. Automations. Governance. Quarterly roadmap. That’s the stack. Are you running AI inside your revenue engine? Or sitting on top of it? May 2026Most AI strategies I hear from revenue leaders sound like this: “We need to implement AI in 2026" Cool To do what? That’s usually when the room goes silent Blank faces “Uh… AI BDRs?” “Maybe automate outreach?” “We just know we need AI.” This is the wrong starting point Your problems in 2026 are the exact same problems you had in 2024. → Low win rates → Pipeline conversion issues → Deals stalling late stage → Reps wasting hours on manual work AI doesn’t change the problem. It changes how fast you solve it. The companies winning with AI are doing something very simple: They start with the bottleneck. Then they deploy AI directly against it. Example: Let’s say your biggest problem is Stage 3 → Stage 4 deal drop-off. Now AI becomes powerful. → Analyze every closed-won deal → Analyze every closed-lost deal → Identify the patterns that separate them → Generate a deal strategy for every active opportunity Now every rep has a battle plan built from your best deals. That’s AI done right. Not “let’s implement AI.” But: “Here’s our revenue bottleneck. Fix it.” In 2026 the winners won’t be the companies experimenting with the most AI tools. They’ll be the ones systematically eliminating revenue bottlenecks with AI. So I’m curious: If you had to pick ONE bottleneck in your revenue engine today… What would AI attack first?
