Apr 2026Hosted a dinner in New York City last night for some of the top fraud leaders in the world. The goal was cross-company collaboration, with executives sharing real-world experiences of what they’re seeing inside their own four walls. We hosted this dinner because customers kept asking, “How do we learn from what others are seeing and doing?” So we decided to just get them in the same room. We had presentations and breakout discussions, and created an environment where people felt comfortable talking about what was keeping them up at night. What stood out most was how often a fraud problem one executive was facing had already been solved somewhere else. Many attendees came from different industries with different attack vectors, but the underlying patterns were often the same. I say all the time that Socure is in a league of its own because we can see what’s happening across 3,000 global customers in 40+ industries. But last night was a reminder that there’s no substitute for getting the right people in a room and letting the conversations flow.
Apr 2026Can you tell if this video is real? We play an ongoing game at Socure where we try to guess whether a picture/video is fabricated. We leave them unmarked and ask people what they think. Right now, the company-wide (human-picked) success rate is sitting exactly at 50/50. People are essentially just guessing blindly and hoping they get lucky. We used to trust our eyes to verify reality, but that biological hardware is completely outmatched by deepfakes. Oddly enough, computer models don't have the same issues catching the fake.
Apr 2026Getting pumped up for Socure 's Identity Summit next week! Can't wait to see everyone there! As a bonus, I'll be leading a workout session to kick things off.
Apr 2026At the end of the Global Age Assurance Standards Summit, as I flaunt the Socure orange sneakers here in Manchester, I’m also starting the search for a Product Manager to partner with me on this journey of age assurance. I could drop a polished, AI-generated job description here. But that wouldn’t do justice to what this role actually is. Looking for someone who wants to be a true partner, not just another PM. This role is not about executing tickets. It’s about shaping the future together. Age assurance isn’t just about technology, regulation, and ethics. It’s about protecting kids online while still enabling access and inclusion. It’s nuanced, sensitive, and very often uncomfortable. And that’s exactly why it matters. This is also deeply personal for me. The more time I’ve spent in this space, the more I’ve realized that the decisions we make here have real impact on how the next generation experiences the internet. So here’s what I’m actually looking for: - Someone who has worked in or closely around this space - Someone who understands the real-world trade-offs, not just in theory, but in practice - Someone who genuinely cares about the problem, not just the product - Someone who is willing to take a stance, ask hard questions, and build responsibly If this resonates with you, or if you know someone who lives and breathes this space, I’d love to connect. Let’s build something that actually matters.
Apr 2026In 2026, the CEO office is evolving into an "agentic command center" where AI agents, rather than just human staff, handle high-volume execution, financial forecasting, and operational workflows, allowing leaders to focus on high-stakes strategy. So I'm building Socure's first agent-led CEO office. And I need a human to help me run it. Socure is targeting close to $500M in Total ARR for 2026, growing just under 60% year over year and profitable. We are hiring 200+ people in 2026, with close to 70 engineers being added in H1 alone as we are in the middle of one of the most ambitious AI transformations in enterprise software. So I need a Chief of Staff who thinks like a systems architect and executes like a founder alongside of me. But here's what makes this role different from every other CoS job you've seen: This isn't about managing my calendar or running staff meetings. It's about building an entirely new operating model for the CEO's office — one where AI agents handle the orchestration, synthesis, and tracking so that humans can focus on the highest-leverage decisions only they can make. Here's the challenge I'm putting to candidates: Design a 90-day agentic operating framework for my office that solves three things: → How do we use AI to triage and sequence the highest-impact opportunities across board, customers, product, and talent — so nothing falls through the cracks at hypergrowth velocity? → How do we capture everything I learn each week across calls, customers, and strategy sessions — and automatically convert it into training content that the entire organization can learn from? → How do we give our executive team real-time, AI-powered visibility into every critical strategic initiative — so we kill siloed decision-making once and for all? Bonus points for actually building the framework — not just describing it. If you're reading this and thinking "I know exactly how I'd solve that" — you're who I'm looking for. Socure is the market leader in identity verification, fraud prevention, and AML. We verify 99% Americans and now operate across more than 40 verticals in more than 190 countries. We work with the largest banks, fintechs, prediction markets, government agencies, and technology companies in the world, more than 3,000 of them. And we're just getting started. This is one of the most unique roles in tech right now and can lead to almost an endless number of future career opportunities for you. Apply via the link in the comments, then record a Loom walking me through your framework and send it to Talent@socure.com . I will be reviewing every submission personally.
Apr 2026The interviews that stand out are the ones where somebody is just fully themselves. That was Christine Bonamarte . She was like, "This is my brand. I like to make my customers look good. I’m driven by fast pace. I like problem-solving. I hold people’s ground. This is why I want to join Socure. Here are my growth areas, and here's how I'm addressing them ." She just went on and on. It was so organic and so unapologetic. It was "take it or leave it." That’s what made it so good. She could have cared less about what I wanted to hear. She was equally interviewing me for her style as I was interviewing her for ours, and its been a fantastic partnership since Day 1.

Apr 2026Socure just launched real-time payment screening to help FIs bridge the gap between how payments move and how they’re screened. Key details: 1) Single API with real-time decisioning across senders, beneficiaries, intermediaries, and payment identifiers, eliminating fragmented screening and latency. 2) Reduced false positives and manual reviews through entity-level resolution and context-aware risk scoring, not just name matching. 3) Unified screening across the full customer lifecycle, including onboarding, transactions, and ongoing monitoring, for consistent, regulator-aligned decisions. 4) Granular, risk-based policies by corridor, jurisdiction, entity type, and payment path, enabling precision without adding friction. As payments become instant and always-on, 'Payment Screening' allows teams to evaluate transactions holistically, reduce operational burden, and make faster, more confident decisions without slowing down legitimate customers.
