In Sollers’ #CEOvoices interviews, one recurring theme is continuous technological progress. Over the past 25 years, insurers have digitised processes, automated operations, and built digital interfaces for customers and brokers. In Sollers Consulting 's report “AI and the Human Impact”, 11 CEOs highlight achievements as well as remaining gaps. Agile methods and data-driven capabilities have strengthened innovation, supported by modernised IT systems. CEOs point to clear gains in customer service, productivity, and risk assessment. However, progress is seen as uneven. Questions remain about unused data, legacy systems, and whether efficiency gains translate into financial results. Earlier predictions - such as the decline of traditional sales channels - have not fully materialised. AI is now viewed as the next major shift. CEOs expect significant increase in productivity across underwriting, claims and development, while also addressing workforce challenges. At the same time, they highlight cybersecurity risks and potential disruption of business models. The industry’s next transformation is expected to exceed anything seen so far. May 2026When we started the Sollers #CEOVoices project at the end of 2024, the idea was simple: to mark an important milestone for us, Sollers Consulting ’ 25th anniversary, by creating an honest exchange with leading CEOs across the global #insurance market about what truly matters. Not theory, but real perspectives from people shaping our industry every day. Today, I’m happy to share the first summary of those conversations, and the insights are both reassuring and energizing --> https://lnkd.in/dUZNy8rx One message came through loud and clear: #AI is the technology reshaping insurance right now. All CEOs see it as more impactful than IoT, cloud, or blockchain, with the potential to change every part of the value chain, from pricing and underwriting to claims and customer service. What struck me most is the shared belief that AI is about people, not replacement. Roles are evolving toward more strategic and digital work, helping us address talent gaps and improve how we serve customers. Used well, AI strengthens #humanrelationships rather than replacing them. I would like to thank all the CEOs who have contributed to this global discussion so far, especially those I had the opportunity to speak with personally: Brenda Gibson CPA, CA, CIP , Andrew Horton , Ken Norgrove , Marcus Ryu , Juerg Schiltknecht , Andrej Slapar , Professor Dr. Frank Walthes and Simon Wilson . This first report is just the beginning. I hope these insights spark reflection, dialogue, and action as our industry continues to evolve, together.
May 2026I have a lot of great memories from Brussels. As a student I was very engaged in AEGEE - the student organisation for building bridges across Europe, and the city was often the place of our activities. This time I was attending along with the Sollers Consulting team at #GIF2026 catching up with many insurers we’ve been working with. I enjoyed the presentation by Richard Atkin of the first go live of the Guidewire Cloud solution in the UK London Market. It was a transformation project we had the privilege to run and deliver with Beazley . We also enjoyed the opportunity to keep in contact with many insurers during our beer tasting event. Sollers is well known for our wine tastings, but we know Belgium is famous for its beer. Thank you to everyone that joined us and to those we enjoyed meeting over the course of the event. We look forward to further profitable conversations.
Apr 2026With the Sollers Consulting team, we bring a broad, hands-on European perspective - from the UK and London Market to France & Benelux, DACH, Nordics, CEE, and Southern Europe. At the #GIF2026 , I’ll be happy to share what we see across these markets and exchange views on where insurance is heading, from #CommercialLines through #PersonalLines , #Data , to #Pricing . Looking forward to the discussions!
