While on maternity leave with my second baby, I’ve been building By Mama Nature to solve my own problem, wanting breastfeeding-friendly clothing that felt comfortable, practical and still like me. Mama Nature is designed with discreet zip access for easy, comfortable feeding without compromising on style. Next month, I’ll be exhibiting for the first time at The Baby Show NEC Birmingham (8th-10th May 2026). It’s a big step for me and the brand, taking something that started from real-life experience at home and bringing it into a physical space. I’ve been given a limited number of complimentary tickets and would love to share them with anyone in my network who is expecting, newly postpartum or just interested in the space. If that’s you or someone you know, feel free to message me and I’ll send the details over. 🤍

Apr 2026📊 2 in 3 organisations are not formally assessing workplace stress. This recent article from HR Grapevine really stood out to me. Despite increased HSE scrutiny, many employers still aren’t treating stress as the health and safety risk it clearly is. Only a small minority of organisations are regularly and formally assessing stress, while many do it inconsistently or not at all. At Star, we’ve been determined not to let stress management become a “tick-box” exercise. Over the last year, we’ve taken deliberate steps to embed wellbeing into our health and safety approach, including: ✅ Rolling out whole‑school stress risk assessments, reviewed annually ✅ Using staff feedback and absence data to identify pressure points ✅ Equipping leaders and line managers to spot, discuss and respond to stress early ✅ Treating psychosocial risks with the same seriousness as physical ones Stress may be complex, but ignoring it isn’t an option- especially in environments where workload, emotional labour and change are constant. Proactively assessing stress has helped us move from reacting to problems, to preventing them, protecting our people and strengthening our organisation at the same time.
