Good article from New Electronics on the growing importance of AI-enabled processors and cybersecurity in embedded systems. It’s clear that embedded systems are evolving quickly. Devices are no longer expected to simply connect, but increasingly to process and analyze AI inputs, then respond locally in real time, while always maintaining high levels of security. At Synaptics, this approach to AI processing aligns closely with our Synaptics Astra™ AI-Native platform and connected Edge AI solutions. Developers are looking for low-power AI compute, advanced connectivity, and built-in security to help bring intelligence closer to where data is created. It’s also encouraging to see continued momentum across the European embedded ecosystem. The region’s engineering expertise and industrial leadership is helping shape the next generation of secure, intelligent systems at the Edge, and we’re excited to support that innovation alongside our customers and partners. The next phase of AI will increasingly happen at the Edge, embedded into the devices people use every day. https://lnkd.in/gYBJa-RY #Synaptics #EdgeAI #EmbeddedSystems #Cybersecurity #IoT #AI #Semiconductors #Connectivity
May 2026Proud of the momentum our teams are building across Synaptics. At our FY26 Q3 All Hands, we spent time reflecting on the progress we’re making in robotics, Edge AI, and connectivity, along with recognizing several industry awards for our Synaptics Astra™ platform and wireless solutions. What stands out most to me is the collaboration happening across teams, regions, and disciplines. Innovation at the Edge takes deep technical expertise, but it also takes trust, curiosity, and shared purpose. Thank you to everyone across Synaptics who continue to push boundaries and deliver with passion every day. #OneSynaptics #EdgeAI #Robotics #Connectivity #Innovation #TeamSynaptics
May 2026Proud to be part of a company that is thinking practically about one of AI’s biggest challenges: energy use. Edge AI has the potential to deliver smarter, faster, and more efficient computing by processing data closer to where it is created. At Synaptics, that focus on high performance with ultra-low power is not an afterthought — it is core to how we innovate. A more sustainable AI future will depend on technology that is both powerful and energy efficient. Excited to see Synaptics helping lead that effort. #EarthDay #EdgeAI #Sustainability #EnergyEfficiency #OneSynaptics
Apr 2026Anthropic’s Glasswing initiative caught my attention. It’s an encouraging step, and a sign of where the AI conversation is heading. The pace of AI innovation is remarkable, and it’s exciting to watch. But it also makes one thing clear. Security is not optional. It’s foundational. AI systems are only as strong as the environments they run in. That means security cannot be an afterthought. It has to be built in, especially as AI moves to the Edge. Edge devices, software, and connectivity are becoming the new front lines, where vulnerabilities are harder to detect and more costly to fix. That’s why security needs to be addressed by design, starting at the silicon level, with hardware and software working together. This is a key focus for us at Synaptics as we build AI-native capabilities at the Edge with platforms like Synaptics Astra™. The opportunity for AI is significant, but earning trust at scale will depend on getting this right. Worth a read: https://lnkd.in/gjth2bnk #EdgeAI #AISecurity #Semiconductors #Cybersecurity
