SAP Sapphire ‘26 was a blast of an event! Extra memorable hearing from Roger 🎾 Proud to represent Syniti , Part of Capgemini and share the work we are doing to deliver business-ready data for the Automonous Enterpise for AI to effectively deliver outcomes. The booth looked great, hats off to our team and of course had to give it a go at the penalty spot ⚽️
May 2026I don’t need AI in everything, just like I don’t keep a hammer in my pocket. I reach for the hammer only when I have to nail something. I don’t want another chatbot bolted onto bad processes that are limping because of bad data. I don’t want five agents hallucinating over twenty years of unmanaged master data and calling it transformation. Making data look and sound better is an LLM sycophant skill. But crappy data still stinks if you bother getting within six feet of it and take a whiff. I anayzed 10 AI generated data quality insight rules and 9 of them were complete BS. On the surface they sound great, and are better than nothing, but “nothing” is not an acceptable baseline for me. It shouldn’t be for you either. Expect more my friends. I don’t want “AI strategy” decks that never once mention data ownership, governance, context, quality, lineage, process, controls, or the humans who actually understand how the business works. I do want AI. I use AI daily, often hourly, but always as me, the boss of them. AI is not the boss of me, or a threat to my value proposition. AI is a supernova accelerator of what makes me, you, us, imperfectly, humanly, valuably unique. Think that. Embrace that. Revel in it. I want AI for all of my colleagues, for all of you, So Badly. I want AI that elevates people. I want AI that accelerates domain experts. I want AI that helps the maintenance planner see the asset risk before the outage. I want AI that helps the supply chain team understand why the material is late, not just summarize the purchase order. I want AI that helps finance trust the close, operations trust the work order, and leaders trust the decision. This does not happen or come from someone buying a model, bolting on AI, or being replaced by a chatbot probalistic state machine. It happens because humans teach the machine what matters, and humans like me, like you, teach other humans to do the same. Real work matters. The work we do at Syniti , a part of Capgemini matters more than ever. Because people matter most. That is the work. The work we do as Business Outcome makers, is not the tasks that Order takers do. What matters most is the work that humanizing consultants who know what Management Consulting means, actually do. Data management is not suddenly old news because AI showed up. Data modelling, Requirements Gathering, Design Thinking, Business Process Design, Data Quality and Data Governance - they all matter if building things to last matter to you. Clean data matters. Governed data matters. Business context matters. Orchestration matters. Ontology matters. Human judgment matters most. So yes, I, Pedro, your Data Ninja, wants, has, and runs faster, further, on high octane AI. But I will and am doing my best to keep AI grounded in the human and working for my team, my colleagues, my community of friends, followers, and most of all my family. I’ve not only seen, it I’ve starred in this movie for over three decades. The real business intelligence was never in dashboards or cubes. The real solution was never the next shiny tool. The real solution was never the arrival, but too many of us, even me at times, let the allure of the sexy hot flame distract us from the prize. The real innovation and solutioning happens in the field, face to face, sitting in and with the business, and the outcome makers, who possess the irreplaceable Human Intelligence. AI has given us a way to extend our limited human memory and compute infrastructure. Even my ADHI brain with the sometimes peak 500wpm, super human ability to ingest and digest information - a parlor trick joke in comparison. People Matter Most, and this post that took me 24 minutes to type, is 100% HI, free of any AI, though the writing has elements of stylistic LLM output AI. I hope it helped and helps to capture your human attention. I hope you follow me for the more, and my Making AI Work 4ALL best to come. DO Share your human comments below.

May 2026The Syniti Nordics team will be at SAP Sapphire in both in Madrid and Orlando. Across the region, the direction of travel is clear. S/4HANA programmes are progressing and AI is firmly on the agenda. But when conversations move beyond the surface, the same challenge tends to come up: the data is often not aligned closely enough to the business to support what comes next. This is where we focus most of our effort. Not just on migration, but on taking a data-first approach, ensuring data quality is addressed and aligned to real business outcomes. In practice, that means shaping and governing data so it is trusted and usable, what we call business-ready data. It’s a clear point of differentiation for Syniti and Capgemini , and it’s what underpins successful S/4HANA programmes, as well as AI and analytics that deliver true business value. If you’re attending Sapphire, it would be great to connect: 📍 Madrid, Booth 10.501 📍 Orlando, Booth 360 🇩🇰🇸🇪🇳🇴🇫🇮
