Facility Management is not a phase… it’s a lifecycle One of the biggest mistakes I see in projects is involving Facility Management only at the operations stage. In reality, FM should be part of the journey from day one. 📍 Feasibility Stage It starts with lifecycle cost, not just construction cost. 📍 Design Stage Maintainability & accessibility decisions today save years of operational headaches. 📍 Procurement Stage Choosing the right equipment & vendors defines future performance. 📍 Construction Stage Quality execution = fewer failures after handover. 📍 Handover Stage Proper testing, commissioning & documentation are critical. 📍 Operations Stage Where performance, maintenance, and client satisfaction come together. 💡 My perspective: The earlier FM is involved, the lower the cost, the better the performance, and the higher the asset value. That’s how we shift from reactive maintenance… to operational excellence. #FacilityManagement #ProjectManagement #AssetManagement #Operations #FM #Leadership #Construction #Maintenance
Apr 2026I recently took some inspiration from Joe Head and his journey with Molto and all things AI, to turn my hand to build something. I'm certainly no developer and have never pretended to be one, but I do have ideas of things I need or want to build both for the company and for others. Therefore as a preamble I've built AuthCheck https://lnkd.in/ehQn_EQj 😰 With the upcoming changes to Cyber Essentials v3.3, there's an instant fail if you have a SaaS app deployed but don't have MFA (at minimum) implemented even if that requires you to upgrade the tier / package if said app supports MFA and/or SSO. As we know SSO is the ideal path, implement in your IDP once, enforce MFA and other controls and then utilise with apps that support it, yes SSO has some pitfalls from a cyber security perspective, but this post isn't about that! Some cloud apps only support enabling MFA, not ideal but better than nothing! But there's also far too many apps developed out there that simply don't support MFA, let alone SSO. Unfortunately there's a large number of companies out there who utilise such solutions. I'd welcome all comments, feedback, suggestions whether good or bad, to ensure it can be useful to the wider community. ☺️ #cyberessentials #mfa #sso #cyber #authcheck
