ChatGPT Ads is now live for advertisers, and most marketers in India still haven't worked out what this changes about their 2026 plans. Before getting into the process, it helps to understand why this is structurally different from Google or Meta. Google Ads buys attention on a keyword, Meta Ads buys it on a profile and behaviour, and ChatGPT Ads buys it on intent, specifically the moment a person has moved past awareness and is asking the question that signals they are ready to decide. So when someone types "what is the best protein powder for someone above 35" or "which shampoo works for frizzy hair in humid weather", they are not browsing. They are asking for a recommendation, and the answer often becomes the purchase. The intent signal in a ChatGPT conversation comes from the full conversational context, not just a keyword, which makes it a richer signal than search has ever offered. This is the slot ChatGPT Ads now occupies. A quick read of where the rollout stands today: - The self-serve Ads Manager beta is open in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, with OpenAI signalling broader market expansion through 2026. - Ads only appear for users on the Free and Go tiers, which means Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise users will not see them. Advertisers can buy on either CPM or CPC, with CPC bids recommended in the $3 to $5 range, and measurement is now supported through Conversions API and pixel-based tracking. Ads are clearly labelled as sponsored, sit below the ChatGPT response, and are visually separated from the answer itself, so editorial independence stays intact. A few categories are excluded for now, including health, financial services, politics, and dating. India is not on the live list yet, but three things are worth doing this week regardless: - Submit your interest at openai.com/advertisers so your account is in the queue the moment the market opens, because early advertisers in any new channel tend to capture disproportionate share before CPMs normalise. - Audit your top high-intent landing pages for three things specifically: load speed, clarity of value proposition above the fold, and comparison-friendly content. Users arriving from ChatGPT have already done the research, so generic homepage messaging will lose the click. - Map the recommendation queries in your category. If you sell haircare, list every question a customer would type into ChatGPT before buying. If you sell BFSI products, list the "best for" and "compared to" questions in your segment. That list is now your media plan, and it is the closest thing we have to keyword research for conversational AI. The next 12 to 18 months will separate the brands that learn this channel early from the ones that wait for case studies to be published.

I had a great job, a lovely apartment in the hippest neighbourhood, and a beautiful car I loved driving. Still I wasn't happy. I was working at Verizon in Dallas. Good salary, money to spend, living alone but extremely lonely. From the outside everything looked fine. But every conversation was either transactional or superficial. Nothing actually meant anything. Monday to Friday the loneliness wouldn't hit so hard. Friday evenings, I'd party till 4 or 5 in the morning so I could sleep through Saturday afternoon, then go out again Saturday night, sleep through Sunday, wake up in the evening, do laundry, get ready for Monday. The whole routine was built around escapism, because if I woke up at 9 am on a Saturday, I had no idea what to do with myself. After two years of that, I was done. I moved back to India. Joining my dad's business was the obvious next step, so I did. It didn't last long. We both had strong opinions, there wasn't enough room for both of us, and I wasn't really contributing much to a paper chemical manufacturing business. So I started consulting at a friend's digital marketing agency. That's where I saw SEO being done properly for the first time. I went home, added a few keywords to my dad's paper chemicals website, and about 15 days later we were ranking. International enquiries started coming in. That's where it really began. No big plan, no vision, just something that worked and an opportunity I couldn't walk away from. I was privileged enough to have options, so I kept trying until I found something I couldn't ignore. That's how Techmagnate was born. #TechmagnateTurns20

My team sees one version of me. The closest people in my life see a completely different one. In office I'm direct. Focused. Task after task. If you have been in a meeting with me you already know, there is no filler, no small talk, no unnecessary detours. Not a performance. That is genuinely how I operate at work. But step outside the office and something shifts. At an offsite, with friends, at home, I am a lot more relaxed than anyone from work would expect. I laugh easily. I am not carrying the weight of the business in every conversation. Most people who only know me professionally would find that surprising. Here is what I have learned from living with this contrast for 20 years. The serious version of me is not who I really am. Neither is the relaxed version. Both are real. They just belong in different rooms. The problem for most leaders is not that they have two versions. It is that the work version slowly takes over everything. It follows them home. It sits at the dinner table. It shows up on weekends. When that happens, you are not a more committed leader. You are just a less complete person. And incomplete people make worse decisions, not better ones. I protect the version of me that exists outside of Techmagnate. Not because work does not matter. But because that version is what keeps the work version functional. Your team does not need you to be always on. They need you to be fully present when you are.

It's been a minute since I logged in to LinkedIn. On the first of November in 2025, my mother passed away. There are no words for the depth of that grief and that experience, so I'm not even going to try. Of course, I've lost a lot in her passing - that part is a given. And her death had been a long time coming; all of 2025 was spent watching her deteriorate, shut down, and fade away. In all of that, I had completely lost myself and had more mental and nervous breakdowns than I could count on both hands. That's what happens when you're the sole, able-bodied caretaker of two parents in their sunset years. But after my mom passed away, something interesting has happened. And we don't talk enough about it in corporate and work circles. For the first time in my life, I've discovered real hope. And I've begun living. Here are some of the things I've done since she died:- 1. Resigned from a workplace that wasn't working for me. PS - no relationship works on a one-way street. 2. Reconnected deeply with my Buddhist practice. 3. Reconnected with my health discipline - I got back to the gym, picked up my weights again, and restarted running. 4. I spent time with family and friends I hadn't seen fully in two years. 5. I spent a lot time with my dog, who is also ageing. She's 13 now. 6. I spent time traveling for a little bit and sat by the water. 7. I went to movies, rock concerts, stand-up comedy shows, and book club readings. 8. I restarted reading. 9. I cooked, I cooked, I cooked. And I cried a lot. 10. I successfully ran a 5K. And I've run several of those since November. And I landed on hope. Considering the amount of time we spend at our workplaces, I wish we spoke more about hope and about the things that truly matter. For example, how critical it is to create workspaces where people feel seen, acknowledged, appreciated, and supported. I know a lot of people will read my post and scoff at it. Probably even roll their eyes and be dismissive. But I am solidly and finally past the point of seeking approval. If you're responding with cynicism, then you're most welcome to it. I am choosing to be hopeful. I am choosing to believe that even now, at nearly the age of 44, life is just getting started, and it will work out better than I could ever have imagined it. I am choosing to be hopeful and have full conviction in my belief that I will create the world I have always wished for, at work or otherwise. In our current world of media hysterics and rampant doom peddling, it's too easy to start believing that we're never going to survive. But we will. We will. Because how many times do we start over? As many times as it takes to get it right.

𝗠𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗔𝗜 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲-𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗻𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗮𝗴 𝗸𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗯 𝗸𝗮𝗿 𝗱𝗶𝘆𝗮 𝘁𝗵𝗮. So, I fired them. I was completely annoyed by paying huge monthly bills for fancy AI meeting assistants. They were too expensive, very complicated, and hard to set up. Instead of complaining, I decided to build my own. Now, keep in mind, I do not write Python. I am a non-technical person. But using an amazing tool called Antigravity, I spent about a week (20 minutes in a Day) building my own personal AI note-taker from scratch. 𝙃𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙢𝙮 𝙘𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙢 𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙜𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙢𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙬: 1. Massive Capacity: It easily handles up to 40 hours of meetings in month (as many platforms used to build it have free plans). 2. Super Cheap: It costs me only $7 per month to run. 3. Total Freedom: I have 100% control over my data and how it writes the summaries. We live in a golden time for automation. You do not need a computer science degree to create real, practical tools that save you time and money. You just need to know what problem you want to solve. A client fired their last SEO agency because "everything was always going great." Traffic up. Rankings improving. Green arrows everywhere. Then Q4 hit. Revenue down 30%. The CEO asked one question: "If SEO was so great, why aren't we making money?" The agency had no answer. Their reports tracked vanity metrics. Nobody connected SEO data to business outcomes. When that client came to us, I promised our reports would tell the truth. But honest reporting has a cost — my team was burning 5-6 hours per client, every month, pulling data from GSC, GA4, and Ahrefs, combining spreadsheets, writing commentary. 20 hours a week. Just on reports. So I started using Claude Cowork. Drop raw data into a folder. It reads everything simultaneously and does what my tired team can't do on their 5th report of the day — it connects the dots. Last month, it caught something subtle. Client traffic was up 15%. Looks great, right? But conversion rate had dropped 40%. The traffic spike was entirely non-converting informational queries. A normal report would show "traffic up" with a green arrow. Ours said: "Traffic is up but revenue-driving queries declined. Shift 30% of content budget to commercial intent." The CMO replied: "First SEO report I've actually read completely." Your clients aren't skimming your reports because they're busy. They're skimming because the reports don't say anything worth reading. What's the most surprising insight you've ever found hidden in client data?
