It's a Friday night in India. Somewhere, someone taps "Place Order" on Swiggy for biryani. A few seconds later, a delivery partner gets pinged, a restaurant prints a ticket, a payment clears, an SMS arrives, a dashboard updates in real time. Multiply that by 10 million orders. Then by 15 events each. 150 million tiny digital heartbeats in a single night. And not one of them goes missing. The thing doing the heavy lifting underneath isn't magic. It's Kafka. And the more you sit with how it works, the more elegant it becomes. Kafka isn't really a queue. It's a log. A long, append-only ledger of events that never forgets. Messages aren't consumed and destroyed, they're just read and remembered. Your payment service, your analytics pipeline, your fraud detector, your notification engine, all of them can read the same event independently, at their own pace, without stepping on each other. A consumer crashes? It picks up from the exact offset it left at. A broker dies? A replica takes over before anyone notices. Traffic doubles overnight? Add more partitions. Add more consumers. Done. What I find beautiful about Kafka is the philosophy behind it. It doesn't try to be clever. It picks a few honest ideas, logs, partitions, offsets, replication, and commits to them completely. Simple foundations. Ruthless execution. Quiet reliability. That's how you move 150 million events in one night without losing a single one. And honestly, that's a lesson that goes well beyond engineering. #Kafka #SystemDesign #DistributedSystems #BackendEngineering #SoftwareEngineering
May 2026A year ago I didn't know half the things I know today. I made mistakes. Pushed bad code. Had PRs rejected. Sat with bugs for hours that turned out to be a missing semicolon. But I kept going. Not because it was always fun, but because I genuinely love building things. Somewhere between the late nights and the small wins, something shifted. Problems that used to scare me started feeling familiar. Code that once looked like gibberish started making sense. Growth in tech isn't loud. It's quiet commits. It's one more review. It's figuring out something today that broke you yesterday. If you're early in your journey and feeling overwhelmed, you're not behind. You're just in the middle of it. Keep going. 🙂 #SoftwareDevelopment #Growth #Developer #KeepBuilding
May 2026🧠 **Stop memorizing LeetCode solutions. Start recognizing patterns.** I used to grind 300+ problems and still blank out in interviews. Then I discovered this framework and everything clicked. Here's the cheat sheet that changed how I think about DSA forever 👇 **📦 Input is a sorted array?** → Binary Search / Two Pointers **🌿 Need all permutations or subsets?** → Backtracking **🌳 Given a Tree?** → DFS or BFS **🕸️ Given a Graph?** → DFS or BFS **🔗 Given a Linked List?** → Two Pointers **🚫 Recursion is banned?** → Simulate it with a Stack **📍 Must solve in-place?** → Swap values / Multi-pointer tricks **📈 Max/Min subarray or subset?** → Dynamic Programming **🏆 Top K / Least K items?** → Heap **🔤 Common strings problem?** → HashMap or Trie **🤷 None of the above?** → HashMap/Set for O(1) time, O(n) space → Sort the input for O(n log n) time, O(1) space The best engineers don't memorize answers. They recognize the shape of a problem and reach for the right tool. Save this. Screenshot it. Send it to a friend grinding interviews right now. ♻️ Repost if this would've helped you 6 months ago. * #DSA #LeetCode #SoftwareEngineering #CodingInterview #ProgrammingTips #TechCareers #InterviewPrep *
May 2026If you plan enough executive meetings, galas, and corporate events, sooner or later this call comes: The CEO wants a major concert artist. Not a local band. Not a DJ. A real name. And just like that, a highly capable event planner is in a market where the person on the other end of the phone is a shark whose mission it is to extract the maximum fee from you, and does this every day, all day, for a living. That is where buyers begin to lose leverage. Booking a celebrity-level music artist is a different discipline. The quote is never the whole cost. Production requirements built for arenas get dropped into hotel ballrooms. An inexperienced buyer can get outmaneuvered without even realizing it. I have seen planners handle venues, schedules, guest flow, and logistics beautifully, then step into celebrity talent buying and discover that it runs by a different set of rules. That is why I wrote this piece: The CEO Wants Sheryl Crow. Now What? What every event planner should know before the celebrity booking conversation begins. It is a planner-first look at where the process becomes expensive, opaque, and unnecessarily risky, and why the buyer needs someone protecting their side of the table. Link in comments. Apr 2026Two years since FoundationPose (CVPR 2024) and it still holds up — zero-shot 6D pose, no fine-tuning needed. Paired it with Grounded DINO + SAM 2 and ran it through SciPy spline smoothing. The spline came out clean and stable. 🦾Excited to feed these as demonstrations into Isaac Mimic next. While FoundationPose relies on CAD models (which we can currently handle via automated generation pipelines), the next frontier is dropping that constraint. I'm exploring purely CAD-free and NeRF-free approaches for 6D pose—if you have favorites, drop them below.
