After 47 years in the game the time has come to walk away. I’ll be retiring in June. Having not been much of a user of LinkedIn this might seem a bit hypocritical. The truth is I couldn’t think of a better way to reach so many of you to say thank you. Thank you to my wife and daughters for inspiring me every day. Thank you to my mentors who lit the path. Thank you to my clients and competitors for making me work harder. Thank you to all my colleagues over the years who shared in the successes and endured the failures. Thank you to all of you who asked to connect and to whom I accepted and yet we never really connected – the loss is mine as I’m sure I would have learned something. What’s next? I have no idea but if I can be of service to you in any way feel free to reach out. To each and every one of you I wish only for good health and much happiness. Until we meet again. In the meantime, please be good to one another.
May 2026Thank you to HFMA Empire NY for the warm welcome and full day of networking and education at the Annual Institute 2026! 😎Kicking off with the 90's networking social where I met up with icons Doogie Howser and Peg Bundy and finally met real life icon Kiran Batheja . (Bonus points if you can figure out who I was. 🏇) Kiran's keynote focused on his theme of Lead Now (Learn, Embrace, Aspire, Deliver, Network, Opportunity and Will) reminding us we are all leaders, and to step up. Panelists of healthcare leaders shared insights and strategies around topics affecting their organizations- 340b changes, how collaboration and a focus on shared goals can reduce friction around compliance, the impact of the Big Beautiful Bill on reimbursement, and how providers are navigating legislative and regulatory changes in New York State. 👏Congratulations to Joseph Favata, FHFMA as outgoing president, and to the incoming chapter leaders. Huge thank you to the volunteers and sponsors who made the event a success!
