Tata Consultancy Services and Berribot — candidates are not an experimentation lab. Recently had an interview experience with TCS through their Gen AI interview platform, Berribot — and it was honestly disappointing. I applied for a React role, but the AI system ( Berribot ) showed major gaps: Asked only Java-related questions, completely irrelevant to the role Took 4–5 minutes between each question, making the process slow and frustrating Failed to understand or adapt to the candidate’s actual skillset Felt more like interacting with an unstable system than a real interview Using AI in hiring is understandable, but using candidates’ time and profiles to experiment with immature systems is not acceptable. Candidates are not a testing ground. AI in hiring can be powerful—but only when it is: ✔ Role-aware ✔ Technically aligned ✔ Fast and responsive TCS is a respected organization, but experiences like this clearly show there is still a long way to go in implementing AI responsibly. #TCS #Berribot #AIInterview #GenAI #ReactJS #HiringExperience #CandidateVoice
