LinkedIn company profileThe Motley Fool’s name comes from William Shakespeare’s play “As You Like It”. The court jester, known as the Fool, could speak the truth to the king and queen without having his head lopped off. The Fools of yore entertained the court with humor that instructed as it amused. More importantly, the Fool was never afraid to question conventional wisdom. In the same way, we aim to speak the truth abo

How can it be that almost everything gets more expensive and a few things cost the same, decade after decade. It was 40 years ago, I started in my very first job, working as a “bottle boy” (flaskedreng) in the local supermarket, Brugsen, in Søndersø. Obviously, I was excited to start earning money of my own. The job among things consisted of filling up the assigned section in the store with beer and soda, as well as, receiving the crates and empty bottles back. A crate of beer (30 bottles) from Albani, Tuborg, and Carlsberg when on special sale would cost DKK 99.00, while Brugsen’s own brand would cost DKK 89.00. A bargain back then, and assuring a busy day for the bottle boys. The below picture was taken yesterday in the same store I used to work in. As you can see, the sale price for the beer is still DKK 99.00. How is that possible? Mind you, the beer still tastes the same. In a couple of hours, I may have one. Have a great weekend.
Apr 2026Thrilled to share that I’ve joined FinanceBuzz , a Launch Potato company, as Senior Director of Paid Marketing, Credit Cards & Banking. I’m excited to be joining a team with big ambitions, a strong foundation, and a lot of opportunity ahead. To kick things off, I’ll be joining Matt Ellis and Kiril Stoyanov at CardCon, and Financial Affiliate Marketing Forum this week — looking forward to connecting with partners and meeting others in the space. Couldn’t ask for a better way to get started.
Apr 2026Tired of overpaying for transactional email? SendGrid, Mailgun, and Postmark are great tools, but their pricing can become painful quickly, especially for side projects and growing apps. So I built ByteCode Email Service ( https://lnkd.in/ggwXPjwt ), a simple transactional email API on top of AWS SES, without the infrastructure headache. What it does: - Send emails with a single POST request (plain text, HTML, or both) - Real-time delivery tracking: bounces, opens, clicks, complaints, all per message - Attachment support via URL: pass a pre-signed link, we fetch and attach it at send time - Reusable HTML templates with {{variable}} substitution - No infrastructure to manage. Ever. Privacy first: Email content is never stored; only delivery metadata and event timestamps are retained. Up to 3 times cheaper than the alternatives at scale. The free tier gives you 100 emails/month to integrate and test at zero cost. Need flexibility? The Flex plan is pure pay-per-use, no monthly commitment. If you're building something and need reliable transactional email without the bloat, give it a try: https://lnkd.in/gPPdkFgb #developers #aws #saas #transactionalemail #python
