World-class venue, world-class speakers… questionable breakout hosting 🎤 Great to see The Premier League Academy Coaching Experience come to life this week, an initiative designed to give Foundation and Youth Development Phase coaches the opportunity to connect, learn and challenge each other. A side benefit was the chance to support Dr Jennifer Lace design and deliver her outstanding session around curiosity in coaching, suspending judgement, and creating better conversations. Special mention to Jess Garside and Philip Shead excellent work throughout 👏🏻
May 2026As this week draws to a close, the fourth cohort of coaches and coach developers from the Chinese FA have completed their club visits as part of the Premier League Elite International Coach Development Programme. This work forms part of the Premier League’s ongoing relationship with the Chinese FA, supporting coach development as a key strand of our wider international strategy. Really enjoyed working with Birmingham City, Crystal Palace, and Arsenal to shape the three-week experience, bringing together Academy, women’s, and first team environments to offer a well-rounded view of coaching and performance. A valuable few weeks of learning for the group. Massive thanks to Ian Jones , Nathan Thomas and Matthew J. for their support in making it happen and to Steve Savva Carl P. and Jamie Robinson for their excellent facilitation.
