LinkedIn company profileFounded in 2015, TiDB was born from the vision of three talented software engineers who set out to build a database system that would be more scalable and reliable than MySQL, while retaining its rich ecosystem of tools and frameworks. They also wanted a true open-source solution, ensuring flexibility and compatibility. What they didn’t know then was how TiDB would grow to become one of the world’

What a session. 🎙️ Bernard Kavanagh just wrapped up his talk — “The Memory Wall: Why Agents Fail” — and the room was packed for good reason. He broke down one of the most overlooked failure modes in AI agent systems: memory. Not model intelligence, not tooling — the way agents store, retrieve, and lose context is quietly killing real-world deployments. Key takeaways from the talk: - Most agent failures aren’t model failures — they’re memory architecture failures - Practical patterns for building agents that actually remember what matter If you missed it, find us at the booth — we’re happy to walk through the core ideas. May 2026I got tired of spam calls and texts, so I had #claude fix it for me. Feel free to contribute to make it better. https://lnkd.in/eKpVZDKW https://lnkd.in/eev2yrtw
May 2026Zander is a savvy infra engineer that planned and led the infrastructure modernization effort at @plaid that dramatically changed the size of the fleet, the number of engineers required to maintain it, how maintenance and upgrades are being done. he is also a wonderful speaker. If you're looking to learn from the best - I'm sure you'll leave this session with some great new ideas and best practices.
May 2026Honored to be named in this cohort. "AI as a Force Multiplier" was where my section landed in Yeeli L. 's three themes. What I'd add: the multiplier isn't the model. It's a cabinet of named voices that think alongside you. Series starts this week. First post is about the one I deleted.
May 2026A huge thanks to everyone who stopped by the TiDB booth at AWS Summit Bengaluru and Singapore. One thing came through loud and clear: as AI moves from demos to production, the data layer matters more than ever. TiDB is built for that shift — a SQL database for agentic scale, with instant multi-tenancy, scale-to-zero pricing, and one engine for transactional, analytical, and vector workloads. Next stops: Sydney, Korea, Bangkok, Mumbai. See you there 👋 More info: https://ow.ly/qlPQ50YXLum #TiDB #AWSSummit #AgenticAI #AIInfrastructure #APAC
May 2026Manus launched in March 2025 and went viral overnight. Two million waitlist signups. Agentic workloads generating thousands of stateful iterations per task. And a monolithic database that wasn't built for any of it. They migrated to TiDB Cloud in two weeks. The result: a successful public launch, zero re-architecture of application code, and a data layer elastic enough to support Manus 1.5's agent swarms exploring thousands of parallel solution paths simultaneously. The lesson? When agentic AI scales faster than expected, your database either scales with it or becomes the bottleneck. Read the full case study to see how they pulled it off. 🔗 https://ow.ly/EQ1a50YO6zf #AgenticAI #TiDB #AIInfrastructure #DistributedSQL
Apr 2026As much as I love a two week vacation in the sun at the end of an FY. It’s brilliant to dive straight back in again, for a new year full of energy, comradery and vision. When all three come together, you know it’s going to be a good year! We kicked off the new year in style with our partner #AWS at their London office. Talking about the hot topic of #AgenticAI , alongside #Dify and #Zilliz …nothing like a full house! It was great to connect with so many brilliant minds. After all, it’s brilliant minds that invent the future and the future is here…. #TiDB and #AWS are shaping it!
Apr 2026Another exciting collaboration with Build Club Jakarta and this time, we got hands-on. Last night's Mem9 Build & Setup Night was exactly what it sounds like. Oktis Lumbantoruan delivered the steps of installing mem9 in under 30 minutes. terminal open, real environment, zero fluff. Then everyone had a go at it. Their own environment, their own machine, their own agent finally with persistent memory. Watching people get that first successful install was the best part. The "wait, it actually works?" moment never gets old. Your agent no longer forgets. And it only took one evening to make that works. More builds coming. More setups. More memory. https://shorturl.at/E3J8b #mem9 #BuildclubAI
