We all like buying. But let’s be honest — no one likes being sold to. Why? Because we want to feel that we made the decision ourselves, not that something was pushed onto us. The moment we feel pressure, our brain resists. The moment we feel in control, our brain opens up. That’s why the best decisions today don’t come from a perfect pitch, but from conversations that create trust, clarity, and choice. Selling isn’t about convincing. It’s about guiding. Presenting options. Asking the right questions. Giving people the space to reach their own conclusion. Because when someone feels they chose on their own: ✅ they buy with confidence ✅ they commit more ✅ and they come back The difference between selling and truly helping isn’t what you say it’s how you make the other person feel. So… what do you prefer? Being sold to, or feeling like you decided? Thank FERNANDA SIMON it was a great event #Sales #Business #Leadership #Entrepreneurship #B2B #events
May 2026Mental Health Awareness Week: Turning Awareness Into Action 💚🇺🇸 This year’s Mental Health Awareness Week theme, “Action,” really hits home for me as a military spouse. Military life teaches you how to adapt quickly, stay strong, and keep moving no matter what is happening around you. But if there is one thing I have learned, it is that strength also looks like taking care of your mental health. Sometimes action looks big. Sometimes it looks really small. Action for yourself: can look like finally making the counseling appointment, taking a break without guilt, asking for help, getting outside for a walk, or simply admitting that you are overwhelmed. Action for others: can look like checking in on another military spouse, inviting someone to coffee, listening without judgment, or reminding someone they are not alone. Action for all: means continuing to normalize conversations around mental health in military communities and making sure support and resources are accessible for everyone who needs them. Behind the photos and the “we’re doing great” responses, military spouses carry a lot. Deployments. Constant change. Loneliness. Starting over. Holding things together during the hard seasons. People see the resilience, but they do not always see the emotional weight behind it. This week is a reminder that our mental health matters too. Here are 5 amazing resources for military spouses and military families: 1. 😉 Action for Happiness Daily actions, calendars, and simple practices that support mental wellbeing, connection, and resilience. 2. 🧠 Give an Hour Free mental health support for military members, spouses, and families through volunteer mental health professionals. 3.🫶 Operation We Are Here A huge database of military family support resources, including mental health, emergency support, spouse groups, deployment support, and counseling. 4. 🌻 The Happiness Project Free newsletters, podcasts, community challenges, and practical mental wellness habits focused on happiness, resilience, and emotional wellbeing. 5.📞 Veteran Spouse Network A free community created specifically for military and veteran spouses focused on peer connection, wellness, mentorship, emotional support, and personal growth. If you are carrying more than people realize right now, I hope you know you do not have to do it alone. Taking care of yourself is not weakness. It is necessary. 💚 #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek #MentalHealthAction #MilitarySpouse #MilitaryFamilies #MentalHealthMatters #ActionForYourself #ActionForOthers #ActionForAll #YouAreNotAlone Built using communication principles centered on clarity, authenticity, and emotional connection.
May 2026Several years ago, I reposted here a few articles related to the dimly recognized hazard of plastic microparticle pollution, which the tires on our vehicles (when driven) and the clothes on our backs (when laundered) spew forth in superabundance, compared to other sources. A particularly alarming finding was from the healthcare world, which reported a variety of microplastic particles were lurking in human blood products and tissue samples. These early posts were greeted with healthy skepticism, which I applaud. After retiring to the sidelines to watch developments, I'm reposting this report today because it confirms that a certain cleaning product, that I have long viewed with deep suspicion, is now in the spotlight. Please take a look and let me know what you think.
