**Hiring** **Salary - ₹50,000+/month** My friend is hiring someone to become his second brain. Not an assistant. Not an intern. His Chief of Staff. And the bar is not your GPA or your college. It is whether you can think, move fast and figure things out. Plus point if you have knowledge of content creation and social media strategy. He is building a D2C brand and this is the most honest hiring post I have seen in a while. Full JD below. If it speaks to you, pls fill out the Google Form to move your candidature ahead. Google Form Link: https://lnkd.in/dNxTqXie Job Description: Hiring my first Chief of Staff. Honest version — not a corporate JD. What the role is: You become my second brain. Calendar, follow-ups, research, ops, social, Shopify, the "can you just handle this" list. You'll be in every important room with me. Who I want: → Street smart > book smart. I can teach the rest. → AI-fluent. You already use Claude / ChatGPT / automation to think and ship — not just to write emails. → Bonus: any pulse on social media, content, or e-commerce. → Freshers absolutely welcome if the above is real. What you get: → ₹50,000+/month (well above market for a fresher in India right now) → Optional: live-in at our villa if you want it. Room, food, 24/7 housekeeping — all covered. No pressure either way. → A 0-to-1 seat. You'll see how things actually get built, not how they look on a deck. The honest part: This is startup intensity. I'll need you on through the day. No calls after 10 PM, but a 9-to-6 mindset won't work here. If predictable is the dream, skip this one.

A first year analyst will spend 3 weeks perfecting a pitch book. The client will spend 20 minutes on it. And the mandate was already decided before either of them walked in the room. Here is the part nobody tells you when you join as an analyst. That v1, v2, v3 of the deck you stayed up till 3am fixing. That one chart you rebuilt four times. That financial model where every cell traces back perfectly. It is maybe 5% of why the bank got the deal. The other 95% walked into the room long before you opened PowerPoint. Investment Banking at the top is a relationship game. The senior bankers who have been running the same relationships for 15 to 20 years, who picked up the phone when that CFO got the job, who were in the room on the last deal and the one before that. That is what wins mandates. Here is how it actually works. Most IPO bound companies have PE investors sitting on their cap table. Those PEs have been through IPOs before. They know which banks performed and which ones fumbled. When a new IPO comes around, those same PEs often have a say in which banks get the mandate. So if your bank was on the last deal, delivered, and made that PE look good in front of their LPs, you are already shortlisted before the pitch even starts. Your pitch book is not the argument. It is the confirmation. It says yes, we are prepared. Yes, we understand your business. Yes, we have done this before. But the decision? That was made over dinners, on sidelines of previous deals, and through years of showing up when it mattered. Does this mean the work does not matter? It absolutely does. Because when the relationship gets you in the room, the work is what keeps you there. A sloppy model or a weak valuation narrative can still lose you a deal that your MD spent a decade earning. But as an analyst, the sooner you understand what you are actually contributing to and what is happening above your pay grade, the better you will get at the parts that genuinely matter. The deck gets you to the table. The relationship sits at the head of it.

Your father's phone call got you the interview. Congratulations. Now what? If you are the son, daughter, or relative of someone powerful in the industry, doors open faster. Interviews get arranged quicker. Your resume gets noticed sooner. But here is the part nobody talks about. The real test starts after you join. Picture this. It is 11:30 pm. Your VP needs a revised model before the morning client meeting. You are struggling with Excel. The numbers don't tie. The deck has errors. At that moment, nobody cares whose son or daughter you are. The work still has to go out. And in a team running 14 to 16 hour days, nobody will carry someone who slows them down. Connections might get you a seat at the table. But if you cannot deliver, the same people who helped you in will quietly move you out. Because in Investment Banking, reputation travels faster than any referral ever can. And bad work travels even faster than that.

Most people who asked me for the list of companies that hired from SRCC and the roles they hire for will never use it. Not because they cannot. Because they do not know what to do next. Here is exactly what I would do. You already know which companies hire BCom graduates directly. You already know IIM is not a hard requirement. That was step one. Step two is where most people get lazy. And that is exactly why most people never hear back. Before you reach out to anyone, ask yourself one honest question. If I got an interview call tomorrow, am I 70 to 80 percent ready? Basics sharp. Story clear. Fundamentals solid. If the answer is no, fix that first. Reaching out before you are ready is just noise. Once you are ready, LinkedIn is your biggest weapon. Every internship I have landed. Every job I have got. Cold DMs. That is it. Here is exactly how I would use the list. Say you want the Financial Research Associate role at DE Shaw. Go to LinkedIn and search "Financial Research Associate DE Shaw SRCC." Real people will show up. People who have already done what you want to do. Scan their profiles. See what internships they did. What skills they built. What their journey looked like. Then reach out. One message. Polite, specific, and so well written that the person feels guilty for not replying. And then stop. Do not follow up three times. Do not send "just checking in." People are busy and they do not owe you anything. One great message beats five average ones every single time. The list tells you where to go. This is how you get there. If you still do not have the list of companies that hired from SRCC along with the exact roles they hire for, drop a comment below and I will send it across.
