Tremendously excited by the amazing results our UK partners are achieving. It's been a privilege to be able to work alongside Transport for West Midlands and Worcestershire County Council over the last several years as they reimagine and reinvent how public transport is delivered.
May 2026Did you know that when put to the test with voters, ballot measures funding public transit have an incredible success rate? In 2024, voters approved more than 86% of them. Nashville and Columbus were two of the biggest that year, and we talk to leaders in both cities on this week's episode of ModeShift about how they got it done and what's next. Hear from COTA CEO Monica Tellez-Fowler , Columbus Council President Shannon Hardin , and Nashville's Sabrina Sussman (they stole her from DC!). Listen here: https://lnkd.in/e3bHkRmP
May 2026Between a return to local control of buses and the growing adoption of new tools to improve public transport, there's a lot happening in the U.K. I love this video featuring the teams at Transport for West Midlands and Worcestershire County Council who are excited about their growing patronage (that's ridership for those of you in the U.S.), more than tripling the amount of people serviced by public transport, and "going faster" to improve mobility for all.
May 2026I keep seeing the same blind spot in almost every team I audit lately. Everyone is scaling AI test generation. Coverage metrics look incredible. But when you look closely, the assertions don't actually test the business logic. Eduard Dubilyer just wrote a piece that perfectly captures this issue. He calls it the "hallucination blind spot." The AI generates tests that confidently pass, but they're measuring the wrong things entirely. There are two concepts he introduces that I'm already using with my clients: 1. Verification debt (which is quietly piling up while teams celebrate high coverage) 2. Assertion semantic density (to see if you're actually validating behavior or just checking structure) If you're starting to doubt the real protective value of your AI-generated test suite, this article hits the nail on the head. https://lnkd.in/dZVGmX76 #QAArchitecture #VerificationDebt #TestStrategy #AIinTesting #BehavioralTesting

May 2026What struck me most about Mayor Paul TenHaken ’s story of fixing transit in Sioux Falls wasn’t how special his accomplishments are (growing ridership by 40%!), but how common these challenges are for cities across America. So many of our cities are just like Sioux Falls - stuck with transit systems designed for a different era. Despite the availability and proven success of the technology and approaches needed to transform these critical systems, there is still a hesitation to touch the “hairy problem” that is transit. Mayor TenHaken’s valuable leadership lessons in navigating and advocating for change are a topic that resonates with so many of the Mayors I speak with. Fixing transit can seem tough to tackle but, like access to water and electricity, it's an essential utility, and getting it right unlocks social and economic benefits for our communities.
Apr 202642,000 downloads for #COMPaaS . 🚀 Still processing this one. What surprises me more than the number is the feedback that keeps coming in - every message, every review, every feature suggestion. People don't realize how much it shapes the direction we take.
