This week, I had the privilege of accepting the Puget Sound Business Journal’s Corporate Citizenship Award for Giving Back on behalf of Wizards of the Coast, alongside an incredible group of colleagues and partners from Seattle Children’s Hospital. Through the support of Magic: The Gathering players participating in Secret Lair’s Extra Life partnership, we were able to help fund the Seattle Children’s Autism Center. Visiting that space and seeing firsthand what it means to children and their families was deeply moving. It’s a powerful reminder of why we do this work — and why our community continues to show up for it. What makes this recognition especially meaningful is that it reflects the spirit of our Pacific Northwest community. At Wizards, we’re fortunate to have a generous and socially conscious team that helps guide where we focus our efforts. Our Global Day of Joy has become one of the most celebrated traditions at the company, with employees volunteering their time to support organizations like Seattle Children’s Hospital, Treehouse, Trans Lifeline, and many others. At Wizards, we believe our purpose is to bring people together through the simple act of creating joy. Games have a unique ability to connect people in meaningful ways, and that spirit extends far beyond the table. Thank you to the Puget Sound Business Journal for this honor, and thank you to our Wizards community for continuing to prove that games can bring people together to do extraordinary things.

Coming from a background in video game marketing, I was used to leveraging gameplay trailers to showcase what makes upcoming titles exciting. One of the unique challenges with D&D is that when your product is a book, you don’t have “gameplay” in the traditional sense. So you have to think differently. Tonight was the premiere of Dungeon Masters, and I couldn’t be prouder of what the D&D Marketing team has built. Our goal was to create an official D&D Actual Play series that feels cinematic, suspenseful, and emotionally real, while teaching the game in a way that never gets in the way of the story, and showing that the kinds of moments people love most about Dungeons & Dragons can come from material players can actually pick up, play, and make their own. One of my favorite parts of the show is that tomorrow fans can claim a free D&D Beyond drop inspired by the episode, with more weekly Play-Along Packs to follow as the season unfolds. It’s a direct way for fans to engage with the show and play along at their own tables as the story unfolds at ours. Huge thanks to Neil Newbon , Mayanna Berrin , Devora Wilde , Christian Navarro, and our fearless DM, Jasmine Bhullar, for joining our table for this. And to one of my favorite composers, David Arkenstone , for bringing such incredible music to the show. Working with someone I’ve personally been a fan of for more than 30 years was a colossal treat. Thanks as well to our incredible colleagues at Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro , and to our amazing partners at Fly on the Wall Entertainment FOTW , Dark Burn Creative , and Blinkink for helping make this a reality. New episodes arrive every Wednesday at 6:30 PM Pacific, with Play-Along Packs available on D&D Beyond the following Thursday morning. Learn more on our new DungeonsAndDragons.com website. Another Critical Hit for Wizards of the Coast ’s Dungeons & Dragons team. Congrats to our partner FanRoll by Metallic Dice Games & Neal Hoffman for an innovative and beautifully designed product that our fans are already gushing over. Big thank you to Lisa Davidson for developing this premium line where every pull feels like you landed the 1 in a million.
